REPORT: Lisa Rinna Did Not Lose Out on Peacock Movie Role to Garcelle, Source Claims It Never “In the Works” and Rumor RHOBH Star is Fired Was Created to Stir Drama

The Christmas movie that never was.

Many fans were elated to discover that Lisa Rinna was axed from a Christmas special due to advertisers’ unhappiness with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. Unfortunately for her critics, the TV film never even existed.

Lisa’s social media behavior allegedly triggered her firing from the mythical project, and archenemy Garcelle Beauvais apparently swooped in to replace her.

Two different sources, however, just told Radar that the rumors are false.

“There is no truth to this,” said one source, laughing. “Nothing is in the works.”

A separate insider stated, “This is 100% false,” and they hinted that fans were attempting to stir up drama. A source also claimed Lisa hadn’t unfollowed castmates before the reunion.

Numerous viewers celebrated her firing from the nonexistent project and called for Lisa to be booted from RHOBH as well. Others argue that she makes good TV and her social media ‘antics’ garner press for the show.

So why do fans hate Lisa?

One theory suggests her critics multiplied when Lisa Vanderpump — her nemesis — departed from the show in 2019 after co-stars raised suspicions about Vanderpump’s alleged involvement in a leaked story.

Several castmates, including Lisa, Erika Jayne, Kyle Richards, Teddi Mellencamp, and Dorit Kemsley (the Fox Force Five) suggested Vanderpump orchestrated the story for her own desires while painting Dorit in a negative light.

After the scandal, strange rumors about the Fox Force Five began popping up online — and continue to this day. Recently, Erika was accused of staging a bot attack against Garcelle’s son, and Dorit was labeled the culprit of her own home invasion.

Amid the growing chaos, some fans point a finger at Vanderpump. In Dave Quinn’s book, Not All Diamonds and Rosé, castmates hinted at their fear of LVP’s fans, who seem to show an odd animosity toward those who ‘wronged’ the restaurateur.

Long ago, in a reunion far far away, Kyle once expressed, “Being in a friendship with [Lisa Vanderpump] is like playing chess with Bobby Fisher. Every move is so calculated.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
