Scheana Shay doesn’t seem to have empathy towards Raquel Leviss, even though she came clean about the dirty details of her affair with Tom Sandoval in part three of the Vanderpump Rules reunion.
Before appearing to admit that she has no sympathy for Raquel, who engaged in a months-long affair with best friend Ariana Madix‘s boyfriend, Scheana reacted to Raquel’s reunion bomb as she shaded Raquel’s “vacant” and “bizarre” antics at the taping as Andy Cohen also looked back on the event.
“Certainly, if there are two people on a reunion stage who are not getting along, I view it as my personal job to not let anything happen,” Andy said on Variety‘s Making a Scene, noting that he had a “pretty good reaction time” to James Kennedy‘s many attacks on Sandoval.
According to Andy, he and his team decided to film separate one-on-one interviews with Raquel, Sandoval, and Ariana because they feared the group wouldn’t let “Tom and Raquel finish any sentences or speak or get a thought across” if they filmed only as a full cast — or that “Raquel or Tom was going to walk off, and not return.”
Looking back at the moment Raquel joined the reunion, Scheana said, “That look on Ariana’s face? Hoo, you could feel it. I would not want to be on her bad side.”
Still, despite “her rage,” Andy said Ariana was “poised.”
“She was pretty amazing,” he described.
As for Sandoval, Andy added, “This was a redemptionless situation for him, I think really. In terms of how he did — not great.”
Regarding Raquel’s performance, Scheana said she was emotionless.
“For her to sit there and see me sobbing, and to just be buckling her shoe… And watching — blank stare, vacant. Light’s on, no one’s home. I mean, bizarre,” Scheana reflected.
With season 11 set to begin filming in the coming weeks, Scheana said “producers have their work cut out for them” when it comes to getting the group together for group events. After all, Ariana has said she won’t film with Sandoval or Raquel.
“Look, Ariana’s one thing,” Andy reasoned. “But I don’t know that they’ll have nothing to do the principles. I also don’t think that a lot of these folks can help themselves from another opportunity to yell at Tom Sandoval and Raquel.”
Following a trip to New York City last week, where they attended a Pump Rules viewing party, Scheana, and Brock returned to Los Angeles, where TMZ caught up with them and asked Scheana if she had “any empathy” for Raquel after watching her breakdown at the reunion, after which she entered treatment.
“I’m just happy she’s getting the help she needs,” Scheana replied.
Then, when asked if they learned new information after watching the reunion, during which Raquel came clean about the timeline of her and Sandoval’s affair, Scheana admitted, “I don’t think so,” and Brock agreed.
“No, that was about it. The surprise was… the truth, the whole truth wasn’t quite the truth,” he explained.
“[And] we even knew what that was gonna be,” Scheana added. “We heard from a lot of people at the wedding that saw stuff. When it all came out, then people were like, ‘So when we saw that at the wedding, that was weird.'”
Scheana went on to say that the fact that Sandoval and Raquel hooked up during her and Brock’s wedding week in Mexico was “disgusting.”
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is expected to begin filming later this month.
