Taylor Ann Green shared an emotional tribute to her late brother, Richard Worthington “Worth” Green, on Monday.
Following the news that Worth had suddenly passed away at the age of 36, the Southern Charm cast member honored her older sibling with a lengthy post and a series of photos of the two of them together.
“Not enough words can encapsulate who Worth was and the impact he left behind. June 8th, 2023 The Lord called you home. We are going to miss your goofiness, your bear hugs, and that infectious laugh. I will always admire the steadfast love you had for your family, friends (too many to count), your girlfriend and Jesus Christ. You truly went out on top of your game and we so look forward to seeing you again one day,” Taylor wrote on June 19.
Also in the caption of her post, Taylor included a quote from Groucho Marx, which read, “Blessed are the cracked, for they are the ones who let light in.”
“For those asking; Worth was getting ready to embark on a new adventure with my dad and a charity called Terra Firma, so in lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in honor of Worth to terrafirmafloors.com,” she also shared, giving a nod to an organization that replaces dirt floors in Latin America.
In the comments section of the post, Taylor’s ex-boyfriend, Shep Rose, responded to her statement with a message and quote of his own.
“I could say so much about knowing and loving Worth. But I think this Kerouac quote encapsulates him quite nicely … ‘The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes “Awww!”‘” his message stated.
In addition to Shep, Southern Charm cast members Olivia Flowers, Naomie Olindo, and Leva Bonaparte offered their condolences to Taylor.
“What a loss. I’m so sorry Taylor,” said Olivia, who lost her brother, Connor Flowers, earlier this year.
“I am so so deeply sorry Taylor,” shared Naomi. “That pain is like no other. Love you very much.”
“So sorry Taylor!” Leva wrote.
A couple of Vanderpump Rules stars weighed in as well.
“Sending you so much love,” wrote Ariana Madix.
“Sending you lots of love!” added Scheana Shay.
Southern Charm season nine is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime in the coming months.
