Brynn Whitfield took to her social media account earlier this week to show off her New York City rental, which she recently renovated herself.

As the Real Housewives of New York City star told her fans and followers she was feeling proud as her place was featured in Domino magazine, she shared a series of before and after pics, revealing that she got her hands dirty with the help of Home Depot.

“Painted the kitchen myself. First taped and primed the cabinets,” Brynn began on her Instagram Story as she included an image of her taped-up cabinetry and tiled floor installation.

Then, in a second post, along with before and after pics, Brynn confirmed, “I did it ALL myself.”

“The tiles, the millwork, retrofitted the recessed lighting to hang the pendant; painting the cabinets,” she continued, via a screenshot shared by Best of Bravo on Instagram.

Brynn also gave a closer look at the woodwork in her kitchen, detailing the process she went through as she decided to paint the room pink.

“Did the millwork myself. Went to Home Depot (I love me some Home Depot on the weekends) and bought wood sticks, molding, a little saw, nails and wood glue,” she revealed, via Best of Bravo. “Also didn’t plan on painting the ceilings and vents and lights pink, but I went bananas with hat Farrow & Ball paint. It truly is the best! Hopefully one day I’ll be able to afford to paint my entire home in [Farrow & Ball] paint.”

Following the renovation, Brynn’s rental was photographed for Domino magazine. And in an emotional Instagram post, the RHONY cast member admitted to feeling quite proud of her interior update.

“Been crying for [20 minutes]. To come from where I did, and to now feel proud of my home … And to have it featured in such a renowned magazine … Thank you [Domino magazine] … And thanks to your incredibly kind and talented team. Thank you for helping me share my story, and share my little rented corner of NYC,” she wrote.

In her interview with Domino magazine, Brynn recalled being inspired by the design sense of her RHONY co-star Jenna Lyons years before being cast on the show with her after seeing her Brooklyn brownstone in Domino in 2008.

“I remember thinking, one day I want to have a townhouse and be giving my child a bath while wearing a ballgown,” she shared, stating that her home is the “bootleg” version of Jenna’s SoHo loft.

And her place has gotten her castmate’s approval.

“She took a call in my room and was lying on my bed looking around, touching things,” Brynn revealed. “To me she’s just Jenna, but at that moment, when it came to design, I was like, she’s Jenna.

“I used to think, I want to move to New York. I want what I see in the magazines. Now I’m proud of what I have after not being proud of it for a while,” she added.

Brynn’s only renovation regret?

“I wish I had bought an electric saw. It was like going to Barry’s Bootcamp,” she joked.

The Real Housewives of New York City season 14 airs Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
