Candiace Dillard Bassett addressed the videotaped fight between Keiana Stewart and Deborah Williams, as Candiace suggested Deborah was a “monster” who “physically attacked her.”
At a Real Housewives of Potomac cast event, a video seemingly showed Deborah throwing a drink at Candiace, who then appeared to pick up a glass bottle. Within seconds, Keiana and Deborah are fighting, and they eventually fall to the ground.
On the So Brooklyn Radio show, shared by @queensofbravo on Instagram, Candiace discussed the recent fight.
“This is what I will say: Self-defense all the way, all day,” said Candiace. “A drink was thrown at my back … and I see this monster coming at me. There was no security around. She strategically waited for security and production to back away. I’m going to defend myself.”
She went on to say, “And I will pick up whatever is in arm’s reach if I feel like I am in some sort of danger, and I didn’t know what she was going to do. You can’t rationalize crazy or unhinged.”
The singer indicated she was “physically attacked” and therefore needed to defend herself.
After the video surfaced online, Deborah took to Instagram and wrote a post addressing Keiana directly: “YOU left your nail in my REAL ponytail that you unsuccessfully could NOT rip out.”
She then expressed, “[Let me know] if you’d like it back … Now let someone leak the ‘whole’ video cuz that floor work sure was something wasn’t it SPECIAL K … P.s. did you enjoy your ambulance ride (ouch) … PUNCH me in MY face FIRST – no ma’am.”
