Danielle Olivera is standing firm on “Team Lindsay,” despite their past drama, following Lindsay Hubbard‘s recent split from Carl Radke.
Just under a week after Carl, 38, reportedly informed Lindsay, 37, that he “couldn’t move forward” with their plans to wed in November, the Summer House cast member, 34, reacted to a clip from Sex and the City in which character Carrie Bradshaw was stood up at the altar by Mr. Big as an insider offered an update on how Lindsay’s been coping with the breakup.
“I heard from people close to Lindsay that she is beyond heartbroken, they can’t get her to leave her apartment the past [five] days. She hasn’t been eating and is still in complete shock that he ended the relationship, and did it on camera after filming wrapped,” an insider revealed to Deux Moi on Instagram on September 4. “Her friends are trying to convince her to get out of the country and attend a close [friend’s] wedding to clear her mind. But to say she’s devastated doesn’t even [begin] to describe it…”
While no reason behind the breakup has yet been given, it has been reported that Lindsay and Carl’s split will play out on the upcoming eighth season of Summer House after the cameras picked back up for additional scenes. In fact, following news of the breakup last week, an insider noted that Carl actually called off their wedding “on camera.”
“[It was] so mean,” a source told Us Weekly. “A normal person who loves someone wouldn’t break up with someone they love on camera. No matter how many problems you may have, you don’t do something like that on camera for the world to see their reaction.”
As for how Danielle responded to the split, her reaction was seen in a comment on a post that featured a Sex and the City clip in which Carrie was seen smashing her wedding bouquet over Mr. Big’s head before being consoled by an equally furious Charlotte York.
“We’ll let you spot who we think Danielle is…” Queens of Bravo wrote in the caption of the clip, which they shared on Instagram on September 4.
In Danielle’s comment, she wrote, “Just call me Charlotte from now on.”
Summer House season eight is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
