Jax Taylor just seemingly confirmed that his wife Brittany Cartwright didn’t actually have a stroke, as he previously claimed.

Following the sharing of a clip from his time on House of Villains, which saw Jax, 44, telling his castmates that Brittany, 34, suffered a “small stroke,” the Vanderpump Rules star responded to a fan on X, formerly known as Twitter, who expressed thanks that Brittany’s health had improved in the months since.

“OMG [Jax Taylor] I’m so glad she’s okay!” the fan had written in response to an article shared by Reality Blurb earlier this week.

“It was a year ago,” Jax replied. “It was stroke-like symptoms but she’s okay now.. thank god. was a scary time.”

During an episode of House of Villains earlier this month, Jax spoke to co-star Tanisha Thomas about the moments that followed his elimination from the E! series.

“A couple minutes after I was eliminated, I made it out there and I get a phone call. ‘Here, Jax, take the phone, your wife’s in the hospital. Just to let you know.’ And she’s like crying on the phone, she’s like, ‘I don’t want you to leave the show but I just want to let you know, I’m in the hospital,’” he recalled. “So I race to Cedars, stay there for two nights making sure that my wife doesn’t have cancer, doesn’t have spinal issues, doesn’t have MS.”

“Turns out she had a small stroke. She’s 33,” he added.

Prior to the episode, Brittany discussed the medical scare on a May episode of Kristen Doute’s podcast, Sex, Love & What Else Matters.

“[I got] numbness in my right arm and my right leg, to the point where I couldn’t even hold my cell phone anymore, and it got really scary because it was happening out of nowhere,” she revealed.

Although a stroke was suspected, Brittany said she underwent numerous tests, including MRIs and CAT scans, which came back “clean.”

“We still don’t know what’s going on. But I haven’t had the numbness since that day, or anything. I was breaking out in hives a lot. There was just a lot of, like, crazy things that [were] going on,” she added.

Vanderpump Rules season 11 premieres on Tuesday, January 30, at 8/7c on Bravo.
