Tom Sandoval took aim at Sweet Lady Jane cake shop after it announced its closure following the debut of their “Sandoval’s a Liar” cake months ago. The cake gave a nod to his months-long affair with Raquel Leviss, which was exposed in March 2023.
After Vanderpump Rules alum Billie Lee, 39, suggested that the closure of the Team Ariana Madix bakery was “karma,” Sandoval, 41, slammed the cake shop for using his name in a negative light to sell cakes, claiming their sugary diss nearly pushed him “over the edge.”
“From ‘Miami Girl’ to Billie Lee- we can’t wait for [Scandoval] to get even juicier tonight. Who else is watching?” the cake shop asked its fans and followers amid season 10, as seen in a screenshot shared by a Pump Rules fan page on Instagram.
In another post, also reshared by the Pump Rules fan page, Sweet Lady Jane’s closure announcement was seen.
“Dear Community … After 35 years we are closing our doors. Our last day of business was December 31, 2023. We did not come to this decision lightly nor quickly. While the support and loyalty of our customers has been strong, sales are not enough to continue doing business in the state of California, allowing us to service our lease obligations and pay our treasured employees a living wage without passing those costs directly on to you … For more than three decades, we didn’t just build a loyal customer base, we created a real community. It has been a privilege to be included in your sweetest moments. Big and small,” it wrote, in part.
After seeing the closure announcement, Billie was the first to weigh in.
“Karma!?” she asked Sandoval, along with a waving hand emoji and a laughing emoji.
“I never had a cake by [Sweet Lady Jane cake shop] that wasn’t super dried out. Maybe people started to catch on? Also, to charge [money] selling cakes using my name in negative sangs on it really hurt my feelings, and almost pushed me over the edge. Good riddance,” Sandoval replied, along with a peace sign.
Billie then said, “Well now we know they were desperate to sell cakes but obviously the [hateful] negative approach didn’t work.”
Along with their screenshots detailing the drama, the Pump Rules fan page criticized Billie for taking aim at the shuttered venue.
“Bully Billie Lee blames ‘karma’ for Sweet Lady Jane’s closure and mentions Tom Sandoval in a comment written on the post. For those who need a reminder or aren’t aware – during #Scandoval, the cake shop made cakes in support of Ariana Madix. Bully Billie Lee threw a fit online about it at the time,” they stated.
In other Tom Sandoval news, as seen in a screenshot shared by Queens of Bravo on Instagram, he’s landed a new role in a Lifetime movie about identity fraud, Tall, Dark and Dangerous, alongside Jamie Bernadette, Matthew Pohlkamp, Michael Pare, Tracy Nelson, Eric Roberts, and Jackie Harry.
Vanderpump Rules season 11 premieres on Tuesday, January 30, at 8/7c on Bravo.
