Margaret Josephs Suggests She'd Quit RHONJ If Teresa & Luis Return, Shades Teresa's Psychic, and Talks Next Season, Plus If She Has Regrets About Season 14 and Being "Done" With Jackie for Good

Margaret Josephs opened up about what would make her quit The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast while appearing on Melissa Gorga‘s podcast on Thursday.

As Margaret, 57, reacted to Teresa Giudice, 52, enlisting a psychic to predict who would be asked back to the show for season 15, looked back on season 14, and explained why she is done with her friendship with Jackie Goldschneider, 48, she shared what would make her walk away from the series after starring on it for seven seasons.

On the October 3 episode of On Display With Melissa Gorga, after being asked how she would respond to being asked back to RHONJ with people she didn’t want to film with, Margaret confirmed, “I just wouldn’t.”

“I just have to protect my family and I cannot put myself in that position and I think it would be dangerous for myself and my family,” she admitted, seemingly hinting at not wanting to film with Teresa or her husband  Luis Ruelas who she claims made threatening calls to her son.

Then, when Melissa, 45, said that she has “no answers” about what the future will hold for RHONJ, Margaret confirmed, “We know absolutely nothing.”

“We don’t know when we’re going back to filming. We’re just on a break. We’re on a much-needed break,” she stated. “We don’t know anyone who’s coming back. We don’t know what’s happening.”

Margaret then took aim at Teresa’s psychic.

“We’re not bringing psychics on the show to tell us what’s happening, not psychics that look like a side-show freak at least. I had to say that. That was funny. Someone sent me that cuz I’m blocked but that was kind of funny,” she noted.

Meanwhile, Melissa agreed that the ongoing discussions about what might happen with RHONJ are “like beating a dead horse.”

“I think we all need to just sit back, see what happens, and when it does happen, we all need to accept whatever it is,” she stated.

“Exactly,” Margaret replied. “Whatever happens is what’s meant to be and I think we’re fine with it.”

As she looked ahead to the potential new season, and who may come and who may go, Margaret said she had mixed suspicions.

“One day I think they might just be like ‘We’re sick of all these broads in general, let’s just get all new people. ‘ But I think people are invested in us and invested in our lives. I don’t know. We still had good ratings. I change my mind every day,” she shared. “I don’t wish bad on anybody. Even the people I can’t stomach, I don’t want something bad to happen to them. I really don’t. I don’t want to see anyone lose money. As much as I can’t tolerate and don’t want to be around them, I don’t want anything bad to happen … I don’t want to see them anymore but I don’t want to see the demise of them.”

According to Melissa, she felt that the ratings on their series were “pretty amazing,” and that they were “killing it” before Bravo put them on pause.

“We were doing a really good job. [And] I feel like there could still be a lot of show left. I feel like they could recast and still make a great show but there’s also another part that makes me feel like, listen, there’s a lot of years we’ve been doing this and sometimes it is good to elevate and try new things and go another way,” she acknowledged.

Moving on to her possible regrets, Margaret said she had none when it came to season 14.

“I feel like everything came out right, for me, I feel like I came out on top,” she noted. “The gods blessed me a week before that final episode when I found out, I called the ex’s attorney, and the ex and I found out about Jackie going over there. That was like a gift. I was vindicated.”

Also on Melissa’s podcast, Margaret said that she has not spoken to Jackie, nor would she.

“I’m done with that relationship. I don’t wish her any ill. She showed me who she is. She obviously never felt a certain way, the way I felt about her. I really loved her. I did champion her, regardless of what she thinks,” Margaret revealed as Melissa admitted she had a “soft spot for her.”

“She defended you, she stuck up for you and for all of us but the truth is, behind our backs, she did a lot of things that we found out about and I think that’s indicative of her character … It’s sad that I found out who she is,” Margaret replied.

Melissa went on to say that she was sad to see the falling out between Margaret and Jackie.

“I had a firsthand look at your friendship with her and I’ve said before, you used to remind me sometimes: Make sure to call Jackie. Make sure you invite Jackie. You were always keeping her at the top of your list,” Melissa stated.

“[But] when you show me who you are, that’s it. And she was not who I thought she was,” Margaret concluded.
