Tarek El Moussa opened up about how much he is making in real estate on Jason Tartick‘s podcast on Monday.

After being featured on a number of HGTV shows in recent years, including Flip or Flop with his now-ex-wife, Christina Haack, 41, and The Flip Off with Christina and his new wife, Heather El Moussa, 37, who previously starred on Selling Sunset, Tarek, 43, confirmed his monthly salary and dished on the third season of his solo series, Flipping 101.

“Since I started in 2010, I’ve done right around a thousand deals, [including] flips and wholesales,” Tarek revealed on the April 21 episode of Trading Secrets, via Us Weekly. “Probably a little bit more, actually.”

“Right now, we are probably averaging in Southern California about 15 transactions a month, and we’re wholesaling. [With] those 15 transactions, our average profit per deal I think comes in at about $45,000,” he continued, confirming his average monthly earnings of about $675,000.

“So, it starts adding up,” he went on. “With the last few years, everything going on, I really got super hyper-focused. We got lean — we’re better, we’re faster, we’re smarter than we’ve ever been. My sales team is only four people, and the person running the sales team is my lead salesperson. We’re all rowing in the same direction. They’re doubling income from last year.”

While Tarek is based out of Newport Beach, California, that doesn’t mean he’s opposed to deals elsewhere. In fact, during an interview with Realtor.com earlier this month, he looked ahead to a potential real estate boom in Arkansas.

“I’m always looking for markets that feel like they’re on the verge of exploding—and Northwest Arkansas checked every box,” he explained. “The first time I visited, I felt it immediately: energy, growth, community, opportunity. It reminded me of what Orange County felt like 20 years ago — before it became the powerhouse it is today.”

According to Tarek, he was influenced by Walmart’s decision to base its corporate campus in Bentonville.

“When a company that powerful is building in a community, the ripple effects are huge: Schools get better, infrastructure improves, job security rises — and people stay,” he stated. “To me, that meant stability and growth.”

As he sets his eyes on deals in Arkansas, Tarek is also promoting Flipping 101.

“The season’s a lot of fun because you have inexperienced people putting their entire life savings on the line, trying to flip houses, not knowing what they’re doing,” he shared with Us Weekly. “When we actually filmed the show, the market was more unstable than it is today. So, it’s kind of a wild season.”

“There was a lot of high-risk flips we did,” he added.

Flipping 101 season three airs Thursdays at 9/8c on HGTV.
