Kyle Cooke clapped back at a podcaster who called him out for failing to clean his own house after this week’s episode of Summer House saw him complaining to West Wilson about his and Amanda Batula‘s chaotic living situation and admitting to begging Amanda’s mom to come into the city to help.

As Amanda, 34, opened up about dating, healing from their split, and their new spinoff with Lindsay Hubbard, 39, Kyle spoke out against Ashley Hamilton, of the Good Noticings with Claire & Ashley podcast, who wondered why he didn’t take the initiative and clean his house himself.

“I’m watching the new episode of Summer House, and I have a question: If Amanda isn’t going to clean Kyle’s house, and Amanda’s mom isn’t going to clean Kyle’s house, who is left to clean Kyle’s house? Does anyone else live at Kyle’s house that could clean Kyle’s house?” she wondered, sarcastically saying that Kyle was a “poor guy.”

Following the sharing of the clip, Kyle spoke out in a comment.

“Maybe just maybe it’s all of Amanda’s stuff and that I would normally have a cleaning lady come if only the cleaning lady could enter and clean? The internet is insanely judgmental for being completely clueless and lacking actual context and facts. The hate is f*cking absurd quite frankly,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, as she promoted her new campaign with Lovesac, Amanda confirmed she was not yet dating.

“I just made my announcement two, three weeks ago. I am not dating anyone. I’m dating myself. I’m dating this couch,” Amanda told StyleCaster on February 12. “Me and this couch have a date for Valentine’s Day, and if you’re looking for me, I’ll be right here. I’ll be flying on Valentine’s Day, so I don’t even need to worry about it. I’m a working woman. I’m literally dating my job.”

Although Kyle and Amanda have been able to stay friends, Amanda admitted, “There’s definitely a lot of healing still to be done.”

“At the end of the day, Kyle and I have just remained really good friends through it all, and that’s been the most important part for me. That was something we were both very adamant about. That’s why 2026 is the year of healing,” she explained.

After moving into her own apartment last year, Amanda, who wanted to “[start] fresh” and took no furniture from her former home, continued to make frequent visits to Kyle’s.

“I’m there quite often. Not all the time, but I stopped by on his Lovesac couch. He’s got recliners and everything. I’m very envious of his very large couch,” she shared.

Continuing on, Amanda gave a nod to In the City.

In the City is based off of my, Kyle and Lindsay’s friends. Our actual true friends. It’s really about that next phase and that next chapter in life, and following us into adulthood, and people in different places in their relationships,” she teased. “There’s a lot of familiar faces, and there’s a lot of new faces too. I think people are going to be really excited to watch us hang out in the city versus being out in the Hamptons and in the pool all the time.”

“There’s obviously no surveillance. They did not put cameras in our homes, thankfully. But you’re diving deeper into these relationships, where Summer House was more about hookups and flings and partying. There’s going to be an older group of viewers who are going to relate a lot to what they’re watching on the new one,” she added.

Summer House season 10 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
