Taylor Frankie Paul is being accused of child abuse, and choking her ex, Dakota Mortenson, and pulling off his necklace amid a heated dispute over his past hookup with their Secret Lives of Mormon Wives co-star, Shinia Powell.
Ahead of next week’s premiere of The Bachelorette season 22, Taylor, 31, is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. She faces allegations of not only abusing her former partner but also allegedly abusing their son, Ever, who turns two on Thursday.
According to a March 16 report from TMZ, Taylor and Dakota, 33, were involved in an incident three weeks ago at his home, during which she allegedly choked Dakota, yanked his necklace off, and grabbed him by the throat and the face with Ever in the same room.
Although Dakota called the police, Taylor talked him into changing his story, and she offered an apology before returning the next night, prompting yet another fight.
On the second night, Taylor reportedly scratched Dakota’s neck and threw his phone at a wall, and after his friend witnessed his injuries, they called the police, and he was interviewed.
While insiders close to Taylor have described Dakota as the primary aggressor, sources close to production on SLOMW have denied it, insisting that she was physically abusive to both Dakota and their son.
In addition to the domestic violence allegations, Taylor is facing an investigation into child abuse claims, according to TMZ. This comes after Dakota called the Utah Division of Child and Family Services more than a few times, accusing her of physically abusing their son, Ever, who turns two this week.
However, Taylor is denying the claims, while Dakota has become frustrated that no action has been taken.
Additionally, The Sun is reporting that another domestic violence incident took place at Taylor’s home on February 23, with an officer telling the outlet that police responded to the mom-of-three’s home that day due to claims of violence.
“There are allegations of violence from him, but it would be fair to say the claims were made from both parties,” the officer stated. “She is alleging other things as well. It’s a complicated one. Very he said, she said.”
While no arrests were made during this incident, cops insist the investigation remains ongoing, and an arrest could be made in the future.
Following the late February encounter, Taylor shared a post on her Instagram on February 23, the same day the DV incident allegedly took place, in which she suggested she was “unhinged” and hinted she has ‘no regrets.’ The screenshots, via It’s a Bravo World on Instagram, are below.

As reported earlier this week, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently on pause amid filming on season five due to all the domestic violence investigations involving Taylor and Dakota.
The Bachelorette season 22 premieres on Sunday, March 22, at 8/7c on ABC.
