Jesse Solomon isn’t so sure that Amanda Batula and West Wilson will go the distance.
While appearing on Joe Amabile, 40, and Serena Pitt‘s podcast, the 32-year-old Summer House star spoke of West’s feelings for Amanda, 34, reflected on his past pursuit of Ciara Miller, 30, and shared his thoughts about the future of the Bravo reality show.
“I have no idea if they’re going to make it,” Jesse admitted of Amanda and West, 31, on the April 23 episode of Not Married to This. “I haven’t seen enough of the relationship up close. I mean, I think she’s five years older than him. I keep saying it on the show. I don’t think he’s ready for a relationship. But it does seem like he really likes her.”
As some, including Ciara, suggested that Amanda and West have to get married to make their betrayal of their castmates worth it, Jesse seemed to agree.
“Will it be worth it if they make it? I guess,” he shared via Us Weekly. “I think [Kyle Cooke] would wish them well. I think Ciara said on a red carpet, she was like, ‘I think you’ve got to get married.’ Maybe even she would support it, but who knows.”
Looking back on his own interest in Ciara, Jesse has all good things to say.
“Ciara is an amazing person, and she is smart and ambitious and funny and obviously beautiful,” he gushed. “Anybody would really be lucky to date her. It’s just kind of a big step in the Summer House to pursue things romantically, and I went about it in a real flippant manner, and that was stupid.”
As for his current dating life, Jesse said he’s not “really doing it as much.”
“I’m trying to take a step back, work on myself, focus on music, and only date people that I see a future with,” he explained.
During another segment of the podcast, Jesse spoke of his future.
“I would say, eventually, I want to build a sustainable music career, whatever that looks like,” he revealed. “Right now, I’m enjoying going to The Hamptons with my friends, and it’s all rowing the boat in the same direction. Like, one thing helps the other.”
Although Jesse said he assumed that he and his castmates would be filming Summer House season 11 this summer, noting that production was “[his] focus,” he admitted to being unsure about the direction of the series.
“I think everything’s kind of up in the air right now. I don’t think even the producers know what’s going to happen. They’re just trying to get through the reunion and see what’s what,” he stated.
Regarding the upcoming spinoff, In The City, Jesse predicted that the current “roller-coaster” the cast is on due to Amanda and West’s relationship could change the trajectory of both shows.
“I think the plan was that the people who filmed In the City would transition to that show, but now, I don’t know if anybody knows,” he added. “I’m assuming we’ll see some familiar faces back in The Hamptons, but my job is just to be myself.”
Summer House season 10 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
