Amanda Batula‘s longtime friend and In the City co-star, Katie Arundel, poked fun at her controversial bun and love for striped shirts on her Instagram Story on Thursday.
As her hairstylist defended the bun, which she sported during the Summer House reunion, where she also debuted her new romance with West Wilson, 30, and as Andy Cohen, 58, reacted to the second installment of the three-part special, Katie joked about Amanda’s repeated style.
“Stripes and a half bun, how original,” Katie wrote in the caption of a June 4 photo of Amanda, 34, who recently arrived back in New York City after a trip to Italy with West.
In the pic, Amanda was seen from the side as she sipped an Aperol Spritz cocktail.
Meanwhile, on hairstylist Olivia Halpin’s Instagram page, she acknowledged the buzz surrounding Amanda’s reunion hair, which some felt was far too casual.
“The bun you love to hate,” Olivia wrote in the caption of a photo of Amanda seated beside West at the taping.
Amanda reacted to the post by liking it, seemingly confirming her return to social media and her first known social media activity in weeks.
In other Summer House news, Andy addressed part two of the reunion on his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, starting with West’s silence.
“I think that his feeling was, ‘Whatever I say is going to get ripped apart,’ and I think he also, and this is just me pontificating, I think that he thought that if he defended her too much, they would rip him up even more. I think that he thought, ‘I am in a no-win situation. I’m only going to speak when spoken to,’” Andy suspected. “I think that he’s thinking about the way everything is perceived.”
Then, after noting that Amanda and West surely didn’t think that Kyle Cooke, 43, and Ciara Miller, 30, would be okay with their relationship, Andy was asked why Kyle telling Amanda, “F*ck you,” was such a big deal when she’d said the same to him.
“This one read differently to me,” he explained.
The Summer House season 10 reunion concludes next Tuesday, June 9, at 8/7c on Bravo.
