Kristen Doute revealed a traumatizing moment with fans in an airport bathroom after Wednesday’s episode of The Valley saw her and her castmates traveling to Mexico.
As Zack Wickham, 37, and Jasmine Goode, 38, looked back on the incident, describing it as “disgusting” and “crazy,” Kristen, 43, opened up about the “out of body” moment she experienced, sharing that she was confronted by fans as she attempted to change daughter Kaia’s diaper.
“I was like, very out of body in that moment,” Kristen explained on the June 17 episode of The Valley: After Show. “[There] was someone recording me or they were holding up their phone, like, while I’m changing [Kaia], and they were like, ‘Do you need help?’ And I was like, ‘No, no,’ like, ‘I’m good, thank you.’ And then [the phone] was just like [right there]. And I’m like, ‘Oh my god,’ like, ‘oh my god, are you f*cking kidding me right now?’ And I just was like, just like crying.”
“Thank God Kaia wasn’t old enough to notice that because if that were to happen … well, I don’t know if I’d handle it differently, I’d probably just cry, to be honest,” she added.
According to Kristen’s fiancé, Luke Broderick, 35, he initially thought Kristen was upset with him because he needed to use the bathroom.
“But truth be told, she was changing Kaia’s diaper, and there were a lot of fans in the restroom,” he revealed as Lala Kent, 35, confirmed that fans saw her in the bathroom and “wanted to take selfies while Kaia was on the changing table.”
“I [thought she handled] it quite nicely because if I were in the same position, I don’t know that I would be melting down with my friends,” she admitted.
“That was disgusting that they thought that that was appropriate,” Zack noted.
“That’s crazy,” Jasmine agreed.
Even Tom Schwartz, 43, said he would have likely “[snapped]” if he were in Kristen’s shoes.
As for what she learned from the encounter, Kristen said she’ll likely never take Kaia into the bathroom alone again.
“I probably wouldn’t go in the bathroom with her by myself again … I change her a lot in the car now … I don’t want to go through that again. It was gnarly,” she concluded.
The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
