Dorit Kemsley responded to Boy George‘s Instagram posts against her after being confronted about the digs on Wednesday.
After the 63-year-old musician slammed her as “disgusting” for sharing a dig at absentee parents on Father’s Day, and mentioned her spending habits in a series of posts, the 49-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star reacted to what Boy George had to say about her, brushing off his shade as nothing more than petty drama and suggesting her post wasn’t about Paul “PK” Kemsley, 58.
“Who said it was a PK post? Did George say that?” Dorit asked TMZ on June 24. She then explained that “George has got the flair for the dramatic.”
Also during her chat with TMZ, Dorit was asked how the two of them were doing.
“Which two?” she wondered.
On Father’s Day, in a video shared to her Instagram Story, Dorit appeared to shade her estranged husband‘s parenting, or lack thereof.
“I don’t care who gets offended, I’m gonna say it anyway,” her message, from a social media account focused on “life post domestic abuse,” began. “A man who makes the mother of his child struggle is a complete failure. There’s nothing respectable about watching the woman raising your child, carrying everything alone without real support. When she’s overwhelmed, stressed, and exhausted, your child is quietly absorbing that same pressure every single day. A real man doesn’t sit back while the mother of his child breaks down and still handles both roles by herself. Responsibility defines a man more than words ever will because actions reveal who he truly is.”
“Leadership isn’t control. If she’s doing everything while you’re doing nothing, that’s not strength. That’s neglect in its clearest form,” it also said.
A short time later, on his own Instagram Story, Boy George wrote, “This post on Fathers Day? Absolutely disgusting!”
He then slammed Dorit’s spending in an additional post, telling her, “Rome burnt while you bought handbags,” seemingly blaming her for the financial strife she’s currently facing.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 16 is expected to begin filming sometime in the coming months.
