Filming for season 11 of The Real Housewives of Potomac is currently underway.
While it wasn’t immediately known if Monique Samuels would return again in a “friend of” role, as she did in season 10, she did end up coming back to the show.
An insider exclusively dished to Reality Blurb that Monique was not on the cast trip, however.
“Monique did not end up coming along with the other women on the trip,” the source spilled.
As for what the reasoning was behind her not coming on the trip, the insider explained that “no one on the cast knows” and the reason she ultimately was not present “remains unknown.”
They also pointed to pictures that have surfaced of the cast during their trip, noting Monique “was not in them,” which is further evidence she was not present.
Recently, RHOP star Stacey Rusch opened up about filming the new season.
Specifically, she talked about what it’s like filming with Robyn Dixon, who returned to the show in a friend role this year.
“It’s great,” Stacey said on taping with her while appearing on the red carpet for the Las Culturistas Culture Awards. “We get along really well.”
Stacey also talked about Wendy Osefo, who is currently facing 16 criminal charges, and her husband, Eddie Osefo, is facing 18. These charges are related to felony and misdemeanor insurance fraud, conspiracy, and providing false statements related to an alleged robbery that took place at their home.
“Wendy’s doing well,” Stacey shared. “We are all standing in solidarity with her and behind her.”
Aside from Robyn, Wendy, and Stacey, an insider confirmed in March that Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, and Tia Glover would also be returning to the show.
In April, a source also divulged the roles two new women would have in the show after chatter arose that Courtney Ajinca, the wife of an assistant coach of the Wizards, and Brittany Ford, an award-winning luxury event planner who is the co-publisher of Potomac Lifestyle DC, were filming for the show.
“Brittany is a friend of Stacey’s, not a contractual friend on the show,” they shared at the time. “She may pop up time to time on the show, but she is not contracted.”
“It’s good that Stacey will have a friend she can trust, because a lot of the cast are not fans of hers,” they noted. “They may play nice with her because they have to, but none of them sincerely like her.”
As far as Courtney, the insider claimed she does “have an actual contract.”
“Bravo will announce what her actual role is at some point in the future,” they added.
