Danny Booko revealed why he hid his drinking from the cameras and his castmates after last week’s episode of The Valley season three.

As Lala Kent, 35, slammed him for blaming others and refusing to take accountability for his wrongdoings, and other cast members, including Brittany Cartwright, 37, Jasmine Goode, 38, and Zack Wickham, 37, weighed in, Danny, 42, explained his decision while also admitting that he was wrong for being deceitful.

“I did have a drink and wasn’t showing it. I was hiding it,” Danny confirmed on the June 24 episode of The Valley: After Show.

According to Danny, he was “drinking openly” for the first couple of weeks of the season. However, by the time the cast got to San Diego, and due to comments Lala had made in regard to his drinking habits, he felt that he had a “big target” on his back.

“I knew that people’s eyes were looking to see if I was drinking,” he stated. “I shouldn’t have been hiding it, but I didn’t want to give people ammo that were looking for ammo.”

As for why he ultimately chose to be candid with his drinking, Danny said he simply got “tired” of pretending.

“I told [my wife, Nia Booko], ‘When we go to Mexico, I’m not hiding anything anymore. I’m just gonna do what I want to do, have fun, and this is eating me more, and I’m letting them get to me more than not letting it affect me,'” he shared.

Looking back on his behavior amid season three, Danny admitted that if he could go back to the start of production, he would’ve never been dishonest.

“[If I could restart the season] I wouldn’t be hiding anything anymore,” he confirmed.

Meanwhile, Lala explained the “big f*cking issue” she had with Danny.

“You’re hiding your drinking. So let’s just say we don’t catch on. You’re telling me this is your behavior sober?” she asked. “Well, now we have a real big f*cking issue, if this is how you behave in your right frame of mind, so I would almost, if I were him, rather be able to say, ‘I was drinking.’ Why would you hide it? This is just how you act on the reg?”

Lala then took aim at the fact that Danny was blaming other people for hiding his drinking.

“Big problem. Guess what? You don’t act a damn fool, I have nothing to talk about. [Janet Caperna] has nothing to talk about. Where is the mirror for this man?” she continued, signaling his lack of accountability.

Brittany also wondered why Danny would hide his drinking, saying it “makes it worse.”

“If you want to have a White Claw, have a White Claw. If you want to take a shot, take a shot. I’m the last person that’s going to judge somebody for wanting to have a drink. Who cares?” she asked.

As for Jasmine, she said Danny’s drinking wasn’t her issue; it was more about his lack of respect during conversations.

“It has nothing to do with your drinking. I just didn’t like the way you talked to me,” she explained, admitting, “I’m nervous sometimes … [And] I just kind of like turn an eye because I feel like now in this place, if I say anything to them or Nia, I don’t want them to think I’m attacking them.”

In his own segment, Zack said that the drama at his house surrounding Danny’s drinking was not his fault, since he didn’t realize that Danny was trying to be discreet.

“If you want to lie about it, just don’t lie to me. I’m your friend. I’ll hide it for you or with you to the people you don’t want to know. But if I have egg on my face at the end of this because you lied and I didn’t know you were lying, I’m gonna be mad,” he reasoned. “If you had not lied, guess what? Your behavior was fine at my party, and you drank. But because you lied about it, it actually makes it worse.”

The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
