The Valley Recap: Danny's Behavior Triggers Janet and Nia Claims He Makes People in the Group "Uncomfortable;" Plus, Zack Splits His Head Open During His Birthday Bus Ride, But Still Rallies For the Club

Sooo, the Mexico trip is going well. On this episode of The Valley, Danny and his drinking continue to be a topic of conversation. Janet hints about something in her past and claims Danny’s behavior triggers her. Michelle has to deal with Jesse and Lacy’s PDA, and Brittany is reeling from Kristen’s comments. And when Zack‘s injury sends him to the hospital, his birthday celebration takes a turn…

Janet is “overwhelmed” and is experiencing unresolved feelings about stuff that she can’t say rise up within her. Schwartz comes to her rescue as Janet cries that she can’t keep having the same conversation with these people.

Jesse is fed up with the way Janet chooses to communicate, or lack thereof. Every time Janet gets confronted, she runs away. As she tearfully talks to her husband, Janet tells the producer that Danny’s actions triggered things from her past. Janet asks to speak with the producer off camera, and we are left to guess what she is insinuating.

Michelle believes that everyone has a problem with Danny, but Nia is frustrated with how this group chooses to forget that Jesse was giving Jason a lap dance and licking his face… and yet no one is talking about that. Janet returns to the table, just as the group packs up and leaves the lunch from hell.

Meanwhile, the pool peeps seem to be having a great time. Jesse’s girlfriend, Lacy, finally arrives and gets filled in on the drama brewing while Brittany, Luke, and Lala are setting baby turtles free. Brittany reminds Luke that Kristen is going through the thick of it right now, so give her some grace.

Michelle and Jesse are actually getting along while shopping for Isabella. Michelle wants this energy to stay positive when Lacy arrives. Michelle reminds Jesse that it’s a little awkward for her to see him smooching Lacy, considering they were married for a long time, AND Jesse was never like that with her. Jesse lets Michelle know that he also had to see Michelle and her ex getting affectionate, so there’s that.

Post shopping, Kristen decides to take her top off in some fresh ocean water, and Michelle follows suit. Janet refers to Michelle as her dream woman, Schwartz is unsure where to look with all the boobs out, and Jesse is shocked to see this side of Michelle.

In case you forgot, it’s Zack’s birthday. As they prep for the evening’s activities, Jesse fills Lacy in on what went down. Lacy lets Jesse know that Janet sent a text to Brittany to really stir the pot about how Zack, Jasmine, and Brittany need to stop their drinking. It seems like Kristen is trying so hard to defend Danny that she is willing to go that low. Jasmine points out that Kristen does not even hang out with Nia, and Kristen even told Brittany that she is her number one, so Kristen’s allegiances are confusing…

Nia reminds Danny that some of the people in the friend group don’t feel comfortable when he drinks. Danny laughs and cannot believe it because everyone was so adamant the night before that they do not care if he drinks. It is clear that the way people are talking behind his back is not the same way they talk to his face.

The theme of Zack’s birthday is “Ho Era,” which is… different. There’s a double-decker party bus for Zack’s “big, slutty, gay birthday bash,” and the girls get to decorating. The crew heads to the top of the bus for the full experience, and they go out on the town dancing on the roof. As Jesse and Lacy head down to the safety of not seeing Michelle’s boobs, Danny and Nia head over to the club in the silence of a private van.

Brittany believes that Jesse owes her an apology, but Jesse explains that he was not trying to group Brittany in with Jax. Why does Brittany feel like she has to defend herself against all of these crazy accusations? Luckily, Lacy is there to put Jesse in his place.

Despite the issues Lacy and Michelle have had in the past about Isabella and etc., Lacy jumps in to remind Jesse that he should never compare Brittany to Jax ever again.

As all of this is happening, a bird poops on Zack’s arm.  So much for the open-air vibes. As Jasmine wipes it off, Zack gets slammed in the head with a sign, which splits his head open.

The night takes a turn when we learn Zack needs stitches. Despite the injury, he remains in good spirits and wants the medic to meet them at the club. Zack demands that everyone on the bus STILL go to the club and promises that he will meet them post-hospital.

Danny and Nia enter and learn what happened to Zack. Brittany is stewing over what was said by Kristen, and Danny is stewing because he feels as though he is being stifled. Nia warns him of no hip movement, since it makes others feel uncomfortable, and Danny yells to Luke how insane this whole situation is, which is certainly not helping his case.

Michelle is having a hard time seeing Jesse and Lacy, and so, she gets on top of the bar to dance.  Danny, in turn, claims to feel uncomfortable by her actions and can’t stand the hypocrisy of the group. Danny WANTS the group to get uncomfortable, especially when he performs his gyrations on stage…

Zack enters with a head wrap and some stitches, looking so LA. He is stoked to see the strippers, and he yells that he is happy this happened because it’s “scientific proof” that his hair is not a wig.

Kristen makes her way over to Brittany, who clearly has a lot piling on top of her right now. She is teary, but they slowly trickle out of the club and into the bus.  A drunk Danny needs to lie down, taking up multiple seats, and as the bus begins to fill up, Nia realizes Danny is going to have to move.  She immediately hops up to sit by Danny, who, in turn, yells at her for digging her fingernails into his leg and tells her he can’t “deal with this crap.”

Janet pees in a cup, and Danny continues to make jerky comments to Nia as half the crew sleeps.  Danny sits up, yelling that since Zack’s birthday is over, it’s now his, and he wants everyone to say nice things about him. I wouldn’t hold your breath, Danny…
