Lindsay Hubbard explained why she didn’t discuss Turner Kufe on In the City after calling out Danielle Olivera‘s boyfriend, Eoin Heavey, for being secretive about his divorce and facing claims of hypocrisy for doing so.
As she also reacted to recent rumors linking her to former Bachelor star Matt James, 34, the 39-year-old Summer House star spoke about her decision to keep Turner off the show and wondered why Danielle, 37, and Eoin, 39, joined the cast of In The City if they didn’t want to share their lives in full.
“Lindsay, be fair. You don’t talk about Gemma’s dad more than surface stuff. Soon to be ex wives get the same consideration. Also, libel laws in the UK and EU are far stricter than here; if their divorce is under the purview of another country, I am sure there are other more interesting things for you all to discuss and learn about each other without creating a legal issue for anyone,” a fan had written on Threads on July 2.
“I’m not in a relationship with Gemma’s dad, outside of him being her dad and co-parenting. And he isn’t on the show,” Lindsay replied. “We weren’t asking for details of Eoin’s divorce. We asked for clarity on when he got married and he was being dodgy answering that to the boys. They complained to me, so I googled it. It’s not that deep.”
Another person suggested that Lindsay never wanted Danielle on In The City to begin with, as they mentioned that they didn’t want the series to be all about Lindsay and Kyle Cooke, 43.
“Lindsay absolutely didn’t want Danielle on the show which is why we need to stop centering Kyle and Lindsay on this ensemble show. We’re not doing the whole we’re the king and queen of this show so we get the primary room dynamic. That’s not why Southern Charm or The Valley work. We want to know the rest of the cast,” they explained.
In response, Lindsay clarified why she thought Danielle and Eoin should be more candid.
“I don’t think people should go on a show and then say ‘we’re not talking about this. We’re not talking about that, because that’s a private matter,'” she wrote. “Okay, then why are you here? That is what I was saying.”
Meanwhile, reacting to a July 1 post shared by Deuxmoi on Instagram in which it was suggested that she and Matt had flirted during a recent outing in New York City, Lindsay didn’t exactly deny the report.
“Oh sh*t cute and flirty? I’ll take it,” she declared in a comment.
