Taylor Frankie Paul took to her Instagram Story on Sunday to explain why she sought treatment in rehab.

As she also called out “abusers” amid her restraining order drama with both her ex-husband, Tate Paul, 34, and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, 33, the 32-year-old Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star revealed why entering a facility was the right choice, as she also admitted to feeling that her mental health struggles have been used against her.

“Yes I seeked help at a facility … I owe this to nobody but I like to share my life from my mouth,” Taylor wrote in the caption of a video post shared to her Instagram Story on July 5.

“I’m not here to clear up any rumors because rumors are none of my business. I’m very open with my mental health. I wanted to be the first one to share but it’s okay that I’m not,” Taylor went on in her clip. “I knew that I was in a spot to take a step back and be like, ‘Okay, we need a reset.’ But facilities are not for just substance. I just want you guys to know rehabs are not only for that. There are a list of reason why people go into them.”

According to Taylor, her number one priority was having a reset for her mental health and to “get away [and] decompress.”

“I willingly did that. That was my choice. To judge and speak of a timeline or why someone went, I think is cruel,” she explained. “It kind of bums me out that [it was] kind of weaponized against me actually doing the right thing of noticing I needed extra help.”

Although Taylor confirmed that she had been put on an antidepressant, and that it had “been working for [her],” she didn’t want to reveal what that medication was quite yet.

“I can’t wait to share certain parts about this and how beneficial it can be. There is absolutely nothing wrong with noticing you need extra support and seeking it,” she continued in a caption to a second post on her Story.

“[But] it worries me to ever seek help because of the result of what has happened,” she added in a video. “There’s like a very serious situation going on, at like, maximum level. The one thing I wanted to keep private, which I feel like I was entitled to, though I was willing to be open with those that needed to know for the safety of my children, for myself, and those around me. However, that wasn’t enough. Mental health in private rooms should remain private, and I don’t think everyone should have access to that.”

Also on her Story, Taylor revealed she “put on some weight.”

Then, in a post shared to her main page, Taylor showcased several photos from her life in recent weeks.

“I’m getting whiplash it’s either cops, dcfs, or flowers… I once started a nation wide trend and the root of it was to bring women together and now I’m going to do a nation wide change to help others; women, men, teens, kids etc with signs of abuse because that’s whats happening. It’s not the system they are just the tool by the abusers,” she told her fans and followers. “They have been kind and have to do their job. Some have already seen the patterns going on. We just need to bring more awareness so they know this is textbook behavior for the next person that will be going through this. DV is the top called incident in the state of Utah and not everyone understands it’s not just physical and that’s so important to know. Speaking for myself that when I admitted my wrong doing’s, not understanding yet I wasn’t the only one and I wasn’t the instigator.”

Along with Taylor’s message, she shared an image of police at her house and said she had “cried missing [her] holiday year with [her] babies [because] I asked for support.” She also said she was “turning [her] pain into purpose” as she revealed her “mouth broke out in cankers from the stress.”

Looking back at the recent moments, Taylor said she felt she was in “survival overload,” detailing symptoms including sleep deprivation, hypervigilance, paranoia, PTSD, and isolation.

Taylor also changed her Instagram bio to note that she was the “creator of MomTok,” as she told her audience, “Started the [nationwide] trend and I’m about to make another [nationwide] change to help women going through [domestic violence].”
