Dolores Catania’s son, Frank “Frankie” Catania Jr., married Nicole Perricho on Saturday at The Vintage House in Douro Valley, Portugal, in a “relaxed, elegant and effortlessly romantic” wedding that served as an “authentic celebration in the heart of wine country.”
Over a year after getting engaged at New York City’s famed St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the 27-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star said “I do” to Nicole, 31, an aesthetic nurse injector, as they honored her family’s Portuguese roots with a weekend-long celebration.
“Nicole’s family is from Portugal, and her roots here run deep,” Frank Jr. explained to PEOPLE on August 2. “We’ve been coming here every summer since we started dating, so it already felt like home to us. I couldn’t think of a more beautiful place to begin our marriage.”

Frankie and Nicole’s wedding was coordinated by event planner JoAnn Gregoli. And, during the event, Nicole wore a dress designed by White House Bride owner Stacie Hiras, and Frank Jr. wore a suit by Michael Andrews Bespoke NYC.

As for Dolores, she wore a gown from Leigh Price, the head designer for Stephen Yearick.

After their traditional Catholic wedding ceremony, Frankie and Nicole treated guests to a dinner that featured Portuguese wines, local artisanal cheeses, seafood appetizers, filet mignon, fish and lobster, and seasonal vegetables. For the cake, they had a “timeless” four-tier vanilla bean sponge cake with ivory buttercream, fresh berries, and mascarpone cream.
Also featured with the main wedding cake was a chocolate cake with salted caramel filling and floral designs. They also had Portuguese pastries.
Once dinner was over, Frankie and Nicole danced their first dance to Bruno Mars’ “Risk It All.”
“The lyrics really spoke to us and perfectly captured how we feel about our relationship and the commitment we’re making to each other,” they explained.
After that, Frankie and Nicole danced with their guests to early 2000s tunes from a DJ.
“We also had a projector playing scenes from Miami Vice throughout the reception. It’s one of our favorite shows to watch together, and it was a fun little detail that made the celebration feel even more like us,” the couple shared.

Also included in Frankie and Nicole’s weekend wedding celebration was a welcome boat party on the Douro River.
“Everyone gathered on the top deck with a DJ, dancing, incredible views and an amazing atmosphere. It was the perfect way to bring everyone together before the wedding,” they gushed.
“We also built free time into the itinerary so everyone could explore and immerse themselves in the beauty of the Douro Valley,” they continued. “Many guests went kayaking, visited local wineries, or simply enjoyed the scenery.”

Before heading back to New Jersey, Frankie, Nicole, and their guests were treated to a goodbye brunch.
“We wrapped up the weekend with a farewell brunch, giving everyone one last opportunity to relax together before heading home,” they said.
