Jax Taylor denied that his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, and his current flame, Lori Krebs, who was previously their shared publicist, were ever friends in a comment shared on Instagram.
As he also shot down Brittany’s suggestion that he was the one holding up their divorce, with his attorney accusing her of failing to provide the needed documents to move forward, the 47-year-old Valley alum reacted to a fan who mentioned that Brittany, 37, and Lori were “[close] friends.”
“You’re really preaching about being respectful because you have a kid, when last week [you were] photographed with one of her closest friends? Please,” the fan had written.
“That’s another lie by Brittany they haven’t been close barely talked in last year and a half and Brittany was never a friend to Lori that is a lie among many others which are about to come out,” Jax warned, as seen in a screenshot shared on Reddit.

In another screenshot, Jax reacted to someone else who suggested his divorce from Brittany had already been finalized.
“I don’t get why when a divorce is complete, one still can’t move on. It’s over. Move on. Leave each other alone!” they demanded.
But in response, Jax explained, “She’s been subpoenaed by her own lawyer twice because she fails to provide financials and the information they need. She’s making it impossible and continues to drag this on. [It’s] awful.”

Jax also signaled to two different articles, from TMZ and Us Weekly, one of which insisted he was not “holding up” the divorce.
“Jax has been wanting to move this case forward to completion for a long time. The idea that he is the reason holding up the divorce is completely false,” Jax’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told Us Weekly in a statement on July 29. “Jax is doing everything he can to move forward.”
According to Mark, Brittany’s team was not prepared for a recent court hearing.
“He participated in an all-day conference only to be informed upon arrival that Brittany had no documents and no financial documents prepared, which rendered the entire process and the hearing useless,” the lawyer claimed. “Jax believes it’s in everyone’s best interest, especially their son’s interest, and is hopeful Brittany’s side will achieve that goal. It’s impossible to settle a case when only one party is seemingly motivated to do so.”
While Brittany has yet to react to the attorney’s statement against her, an insider close to her denied the claims.
“The statements suggesting that she is responsible for delaying their divorce are simply not true. Brittany has participated in this process in good faith, and remains committed to reaching a fair resolution for everyone involved, especially their son,” they insisted, adding that the divorce has been “delayed on multiple occasions” due to “unresolved financial issues” and Jax’s visits to rehab in 2024 and 2025.
“She will continue addressing these matters in court, where they belong, rather than through the media,” the source continued. “Her focus has always been on protecting their son, resolving this matter fairly, and moving forward with her life.”
Jax and Brittany married in 2019, welcomed son Cruz, 5, in 2021, and filed for divorce in 2024.
