Lala Kent clapped back at Zack Wickham for saying he’d rather see Tom Schwartz return to The Valley than her. Lala then questioned if she should “f**k his a** up,” and she hinted that he was recently “singing a different tune” about Janet Caperna.
Some fans have argued that the new season of The Valley wasn’t as intriguing, given Lala’s attempts to control the behavior of Zack and Kristen Doute over their feud with Janet. According to Lala’s critics, she’s stifling the drama that made the show good in past seasons, and few co-stars are willing to challenge her on it.
“I know Zack went on a podcast and went in on Janet again,” said Lala on Untraditionally Lala, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. (In a recent episode of The Twot Seat podcast, Zack shared that Janet disinvited him from her birthday party after he spoke negatively about her in an interview.) “And I was just at his house the night before, and he was singing a different tune. Then he goes on Twots, and he’s singing another tune.”
But Lala’s brother and cohost Easton Burningham defended Zack, who’s been trying to repair his relationship with Janet despite their history.
“You know what? Sing your tune, whatever way you want,” said Easton. “I feel different every day too.”
“I understand [that], but it goes back to [Zack being a] fart in the wind,” Lala clapped back. “You’re fart in the wind. … I was just with him last night. … Or you get on a call with him, and I’ve told this to his face, so I’m not even worried about it. I get on a call with him, and he’s like, so you want to know the reason I have an issue with Janet? It started before the pandemic, and I’m like, oh god. Two hours later, I’m like, I’m even more confused now than I was before the phone call.”
Later in the episode, Lala shaded Zack some more.
“Zack Wickham did Twots with Tamra and Teddy. … They did this TikTok where they put two names up and it was like, ‘Returning to The Valley: Lala or Schwartz?’ And [Zack] chose Schwartz.” (Zack has been close friends with Schwartz, and his friendship with Lala is more recent.)
“Do I text [Zack] and like f**k his a** up over this?” asked Lala. “Knuck if you buck, Zack. I’m at your apartment. We’re singing karaoke. Meanwhile, in the back of your mind, you would rather be with Schwartz than me. … We’re about to start something.”
If Lala returns to The Valley next season, she’ll likely root out any drama she doesn’t approve of. But how will the ratings respond to the new sanitized version of the show?
