Fans of MTV’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation were disappointed when MTV announced that the show was coming to an end.
“This farewell season marks the culmination of a franchise that entertained millions with major life milestones, laugh-out-loud chaos, and the unfiltered chemistry that defined an era of reality television,” the network said back in March.
While the cast had shared that this wasn’t the end and that they wanted to continue the show on another platform, nothing concrete has been revealed yet.
Last week, cast member Angelina Pivarnick took to her Instagram Story and bizarrely shared, “Whoever is down the shore and saw cameras can you please dm me thanks. 🙏 Very important.”

“There’s A LOT happening behind the scenes right now that you guys don’t know about,” Angelina, 40, continued. “After 16 years together, the nine of us deserve answers – and so do the fans who have been with us from day one. I’m going LIVE later today. There’s a lot we need to talk about. 👀❤️ Stay tuned.”

While followers weren’t sure what she meant initially, reports started circulating on social media showing cameras following people down at the Jersey Shore.
Now, DeuxMoi revealed a submission that seemingly details why Angelina was upset.
Specifically, their submission alleges that a Jersey Shore reboot with a new cast is being filmed.
“Jersey Shore reboot for Netflix is currently filming – they are staying in a house in Manasquan, NJ,” the post states. “Originally, the show was described as a group of friends from NJ figuring out life as they grow up as 2 of the friends are getting married this summer. Since the original Jersey Shore is cancelled because MTV is over, SallyAnn – the creator of both shows – described it as that to not get backlash from the original cast. However, the show has now evolved to some friends from that group as well as other cast members. Here’s a list of the cast, there may be some more additions. Jake Weber (Mr. New Jersey), Melissa Schmit, Erika Mendez, Ray Minecci (Frank Catania’s nephew), Antonella De Paola, Andrew Scarillo, Vincent Sciarratta, Courtney Dondero. Ray and Courtney were actually cast in the Jersey Shore reboot that was supposed to film in 2022, but that show was never filmed due to permit issues.”

The part in the post regarding a 2022 reboot is accurate. MTV had announced a Jersey Shore 2.0 reboot to tape in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with a new cast.
This didn’t sit well with the current cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, and they all posted a unified post slamming it with the hashtag #WeAreJerseyShore.
“As a cast that took a chance with a network in need, we put our most vulnerable moments on television for the world to see. We gave our all over the past 13 years, became a family and continue to open our lives for the world,” they shared at the time. “So please understand that we are not in support of a version that will exploit our original show, our hard work and authenticity to gain viewers.”

They also encouraged fans to tune into Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
That particular reboot never ended up coming to fruition.
Now that the post suggesting a new Jersey Shore is taping has surfaced, it will be interesting to see what the OG cast has to say.
