Heather Gay is opening up about her relationship with her boyfriend, Tripp, ahead of his debut on the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
During an interview on Friday, Heather, 52, admitted that she was “in love” with Tripp, as she also discussed their history together, sharing how long they’d known one another and revealing when their dynamic became romantic.
“I might be falling in love,” Heather revealed to Bravo Insider on September 4. “Actually, it’s past tense. I’ve fallen in love. It makes me emotional.”
Heather’s season seven bio teased her romance with Tripp, stating, “Heather Gay is celebrating her Jupiter year and busy spending quality time with her new boyfriend, Tripp. She’s excited to embrace her relationship era and new opportunities.”
The relationship was also featured in the trailer, which said “a new relationship is about to blossom” and showed them in a deep discussion, during which Heather told Tripp she was “never getting married again.”
“Do you worry it’ll affect our relationship?” she asked.

Speaking to Bravo Insider, Heather revealed that she and Tripp had “known each other for a decade,” but didn’t start dating until December 2025, one month after she admitted she was ready for something serious at BravoCon.
“I am starting to date. The girls are out of the house, and it’s really a new chapter for me—a new era,” she said at the time. “You know, it’s like a totally—everyone knows it’s like a new chapter for me in my life, and I’m really excited about it.”
As RHOSLC fans may know, Heather was previously married to ex-husband Billy, whom she divorced in 2015. Looking back on their marriage, Heather confessed she failed to properly date before saying, “I do.”
“I just didn’t really date growing up. I’ve never had a boyfriend I was, like, sleeping with and dating, because I just never had a boyfriend like that,” she explained, giving a nod to her Mormon background.
Following her divorce, Heather spoke of her dating life during a November 2021 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, saying she “[did] just fine.”
“I have not hooked up with a guy that has slid into my DMs just because he slid into my DMs, but I am not opposed to it,” she confirmed, adding to Bravo Insider that before she met Tripp, she “just kind of f*cked around.”
“[I] never had a boyfriend. Never was in a serious relationship,” she admitted. “[Tripp is] the first boyfriend I’ve ever really had.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season seven premieres on Wednesday, September 16 at 8/7c on Bravo.
