Below Deck Mediterranean fans were stunned when it was revealed in August that star Nathan Gallagher had been arrested for domestic violence and that the mother of his child, Gael Cameron, had filed an apprehended violence order against him.
Things continued to escalate when it was reported that Nathan, 27, was wanted in Ireland over an alleged 2022 assault. Then, news broke that Nathan was hit with an arrest warrant after allegedly fleeing Australia and missing a court date, and police asked for help to locate him.
Amid all of this chaos, the current season of Below Deck Mediterranean is still airing.
After the latest episode, sleuths on Reddit questioned whether Nathan was wearing a wedding ring on the show.

“Someone mentioned this before,” one fan replied to the photo. “My suggestion was that he might be right-handed so he wears jewelry on his left hand. I do that since I find it uncomfortable doing manual work with jewelry on, and I don’t want to damage my rings.”
“Nathan is one of those d*uchebags who wears a wedding ring when he’s engaged and calls his fiancée his wife lol,” another quipped.
Still, another thought it was possible Nathan and Gael, 30, had secretly gotten married, as they shared, “I noticed that as well. So I was wondering if they’d gotten married but never announced it. Or if it was more of a ‘promise ring’ type of deal?”
“Maybe he and Gael were engaged at some point, or it was a promise/commitment ring,” another person noted. “But if they were legally married, it would have been mentioned in the assault case report.”
In early September, Gael took to her Instagram Story to break her silence about the situation with Nathan.
“Hey guys, I just want to say thank you so much for the support you’ve shown for Kayden and I,” she wrote at the time. “It’s been a tough season but I have been using the past few months to quietly heal and rebuild for little man and myself.”
“I really appreciate the love you have sent our way, especially with everything that’s come to light, and I’m really working on finding myself again and moving forward ♥️,” she added.
At this point in time, Nathan remains at large. However, despite his absence, he was convicted of three domestic violence offenses last month as the brutal details of what he did to Gael came to light.
Shortly after his conviction, Bravo announced they have cut ties with him.
