Dorinda Medley revealed what topic she told The Golden Life that she did not wish to discuss – and shared which other castmates from Real Housewives of New York she’d like to join the spinoff, as her costars reacted.
Earlier this year, Dorinda joined forces with several original stars from RHONY to film the spinoff, which just aired on E!. The cast now includes Dorinda, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, and Kelly Bensimon.
On More Life with Carl Radke, Dorinda revealed what topic she’s not interested in discussing on The Golden Life.
“I did say to them, I don’t want to talk about [my late husband] Richard so much anymore,” she said. “Not because he’s not still in my life, but because I want people to see what survival and life looks like after you go through all these things, and who I am today.”
“Life is a guilt, and every patch is important,” she continued. “I want that patch to stay on my guilt, but can we just look at the other patches too?”
In an interview with USA Today Entertainment, Dorinda was asked what other castmates she’d like to see on The Golden Life.
“I think Jules Weinstein,” said Dorinda. (Jules was a one-season castmate in season 8.) “I think Jules got so … shortchanged, because I actually think she was a great Housewife.”
“Yeah. And then she went through that whole thing with the husband,” added Luann, seemingly alluding to Jules’ split with Michael amid rumors of his alleged cheating.
“Would’ve been great TV,” Dorinda joked. “Some of the people don’t like when I say this, but I [also] would like a cameo from Bethenny. Like it, don’t like, she’s a part of the history of the Housewives, the OGs.”
But in the same interview, Kelly called Bethenny “performative” – while Ramona said she likes the cast “just the way it is.” Kelly admitted, however, that she’d like to see Tinsley Mortimer, and Sonja added Aviva Drescher.
New episodes of The Golden Life air Tuesday nights at 10:00 ET on E!. The first two episodes will be available on Hulu November 3, 2026.
