Chrishell Stause and G Flip may have exchanged vows in Las Vegas in May 2023 and celebrated their courtship with a number of additional ceremonies since, but according to a new report, they were never officially married.
Following the news of their sudden split on Monday, new details about the Selling Sunset alum’s relationship with the Australian singer have been revealed, including their legal status and what Chrishell, 45, said after a visit with G, 33, days before their breakup.
On October 27, insiders close to the exes told TMZ that while Chrishell and G planned to make their marriage official at some point, they never legally wed.
Chrishell confirmed that she and G had split in an emotional video shared to her Instagram page.
“G and I are no longer together,” she began. “I am in love with this person, and I don’t have all the information or the reasons, and I just, I’m sure, just like always, with time, you get the lessons you’re meant to get, and I know that will happen, and I’m gonna heal, and everything’s gonna be fine.”
Then, after admitting to feeling like “a little bit of a failure,” Chrishell said the split was “hard” and “painful.”
“I will always love G, and I don’t ever really see that changing. And this sucks, but everyone deserves to be happy, and I wish that for both of us,” she added.
G addressed the breakup as well, writing, “I will always love her, we will always share a special connection, and I cherish our memories together deeply … My head [and] heart are feeling very heavy right now, and I’m not able to talk, but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time.”
Meanwhile, before the split, during an October 21 interview with Sam Lawrence for Press Pass LA at the UTA Creator A List event, Chrishell admitted she was “recalibrating” after a trip to Australia, where G is on tour.
“Honestly, I just got back from Australia [a week ago] so I’m like … recalibrating,” Chrishell explained.
She was then asked about her departure from Selling Sunset.
“To be honest with you, I’ve really appreciated just getting away from just someone’s idea of who you are versus creating something that you’re happy with and being on more of the creation side of something I’m really proud of. My time had come. I really feel like I did a lot there and now it’s time to go, but I wish them the best.”

As Selling Sunset fans well know, Chrishell announced her exit from the show last November after starring on the series for nine seasons.
“I’ve vacillated back and forth with this decision in the past,” she told Bustle at the time. “I have to be honest — having come from nothing, it’s really hard to turn something like this down. [But] I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially. I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health.”
While a reason for Chrishell and G’s split has not yet been confirmed, it was reportedly G who prompted the separation.
Selling Sunset season 10 is coming soon.
