Chrishell Stause was reportedly blindsided when G Flip called it quits on their four-year relationship earlier this month.
After the 45-year-old Selling Sunset alum tearfully revealed that she and the 33-year-old Australian musician were no longer together in a video shared to her Instagram page, an insider spoke out, sharing that while Chrishell and G felt they had a great relationship when they were together, G’s romantic feelings for Chrishell had faded.
According to sources close to the exes, who spoke to TMZ on October 29, G views Chrishell as more of a friend than a romantic partner, and had a heart-to-heart with her during a recent visit to Los Angeles, where G allegedly told Chrishell she was no longer in love with her.
Chrishell is described as being “heartbroken” over the split.
Amid her heartbreak, Chrishell received support on Instagram from former boyfriend Jason Oppenheim, 49, who reacted to her and G’s breakup in a comment.
“I’m really sorry to hear this. I’m thinking of you and sending you my love,” he wrote. “You’re both beautiful people and sometimes things just don’t work out, but it certainly doesn’t mean anyone failed. There’s probably nothing anyone can say to make you feel better right now, it might just take some time to process. But please know that you’re very loved and I’m always there for you no matter what.”
Bre Tiesi, 35, also weighed in, telling TMZ she was “so sorry” to hear about the split but also laughing while noting that she and Chrishell “don’t get along very well.”
As Selling Sunset fans may have heard, insiders told TMZ earlier this week that the cast wasn’t surprised by the split due to Chrishell’s supposed “mean” streak, and the fact that Chrishell wasn’t easy to get along with. However, the more recent TMZ report insisted that G’s feelings for Chrishell had simply changed.
Another insider told PEOPLE that the “distance is what really drove the two of them apart.”
“The long flights, going weeks without seeing each other, and time difference took its toll,” the source noted. “They both wanted to have kids, but they also both didn’t want to uproot their lives for the other … It was hard to dream about a life together, when they both had that dream on different continents.”
