Vanderpump Rules has been renewed for a 13th season.
Ahead of the season 12 finale and reunion, Bravo has reportedly given the series, which was fully rebooted after season 11 concluded with a cast divide due to “Scandoval,” with former members of the show refusing to film with one another, a new set of episodes.
TMZ confirmed the news on February 21, with sources close to the show revealing that the decision was prompted by the series’ performance, both on Bravo and Peacock. The insiders also noted that renewals typically don’t happen prior to the airing of the season and its reunion.
As for who will return, the entire cast is expected to be back, including Chris Hahn, Angelica Jensen, Marcus Johnson, Venus Binkley, Jason Cohen, Shayne Davis, Audrey Lingle, Natalie Maguire, Demy Selem, and Kim Suarez. But they won’t be alone. Instead, they will be joined by a number of new cast members, who are currently being scouted.
While the early episodes of Pump Rules received some poor reviews from those who missed the original cast and felt that Bravo shouldn’t have gotten rid of them, interest grew as the season aired, resulting in the network making the decision to offer it an early renewal.
Just months ago, in regard to the negativity they’d seen, cast members spoke to Us Weekly.
“Honestly, the amount of negativity has just been overshadowed by all of the love, and it’s been so surprisingly overwhelming to feel that,” Audrey said. “Anything that anyone has said that is negative has just been put in the ground tenfold by the kindness that people have given us.”
“I just feel very grateful for all the love that we’ve had at SUR and all the fans that have come in,” Venus agreed. “I know that there’s a lot of hate on the internet, but it just feels really nice to be surrounded by people who do love us, and the cast is sticking together no matter what.”
Marcus spoke out as well, admitting that while there was “a lot of noise” and “all different types of feedback,” there was also “so much positive feedback and support.”
“I’ve just been focused on that and the people that are here to enjoy and get to know us. I’m feeding into that, and I’m drowning out all the rest of it,” he explained.
Vanderpump Rules season 13 is set to begin filming in April.
