Angie Katsanevas and Mary Cosby sparked rumors of a potential falling out earlier this week as they were confirmed to have unfollowed one another on Instagram amid filming on the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. But a short time later, the ladies had re-followed each other, leading fans to consider whether it was a potential error or miscommunication.
Now, as filming continues, an insider is speaking out, revealing that Angie, 52, and Mary, 53, endured an encounter with one another that they will likely never recover from.
“The chatter about Angie and Mary is totally true. It’s also too ugly to come back from — it happened last week during filming when Angie and [Bronwyn Newport] were having words,” a source close to production revealed to Reality Blurb.
According to the insider, Angie turned to Mary amid her dispute with Bronwyn, 40, and “tried to pull her into something that had absolutely nothing to do with her.”
Right away, Mary, who tragically lost her only child, son Robert Cosby Jr., in February, offered stern words to her castmate.
“Mary looked Angie dead in the eyes and said, ‘Keep my name out of your mouth, worry about your own friends and your own family,'” the source shared.
From there, Angie clapped back with a response that “you won’t believe,” saying something ‘shocking’ about Mary’s family “in front of everyone.” [Reality Blurb is choosing not to reveal the exact comment allegedly made by Angie.]
And Angie didn’t stop there. Instead, she allegedly began “throwing things.”
“This is not a disagreement. That is not even a fight. That is a deeply dark place that one hopes Angie gets some help for, because no one who is okay inside does something like that. Mary deserved none of that,” our insider continued.
As for why Angie and Mary are now following one another, the source explained that Mary likely “wanted to quiet things down for the sake of the show.”
“Maybe she will forgive her, but I don’t know how they really move forward from this. I don’t know how anyone would move forward from this,” the insider concluded.
No word yet on a premiere date for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season seven.
