Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jessi Draper and Mikayla Matthews are at odds.
Amid Taylor Frankie Paul‘s feud with Mikayla, which included claims of “dangerous” and “destructive” behavior from Taylor and allegations of Taylor weaponizing Mikayla’s childhood trauma, Jessi learned that Mikayla had unfollowed her on Instagram due to her support of Taylor.
“News to me. Thought I was good with her. I’m good with [Mayci Neely] so this is disappointing [because] she’s not willing to communicate. Didn’t respond to my last text, just decides to do this instead,” Jessi wrote in a comment to a post shared by Steph With the Deets on Instagram.
In Steph’s video, she mentioned that Jessi and Mikayla had last supported one another on Mother’s Day — the same day that Taylor described Mikayla as her “enemy” in a post of her own.
In response to Jessi’s reaction to her unfollow, Mikayla, who unfollowed Jessi but did not block her, explained that her public alignment with Taylor had been off-putting.
“Don’t know if I could’ve been more clear but if I need to post the text where I say I will not continue a friendship with people who are going to enable someone that is reposting and weaponizing my childhood sexual abuse and engaging on post bashing me then I will. Let’s stop acting like our actions aren’t effecting the people around us, especially when I specifically voice that they are,” Mikayla stated.

As their Instagram drama continued to play out, Jessi shared an additional message, sharing why she was continuing to support Taylor, despite her actions against Mikayla.
“I’m trying to be sensitive and supportive of Taylor because I understand being in several abusive situations, things that I have never spoken on. But that does not mean I condone all of Taylor’s actions- I hold her accountable for the mistakes she’s made and I told Mikayla this,” she wrote in a comment to another one of Steph With the Deets’ videos on Instagram. “My divorce and my life falling apart has given me so much empathy for people struggling. Taylor’s mental health has not been the greatest right now and I just can’t get myself to leave someone at their lowest. However, I have NEVER engaged in weaponizing Mikayla’s pain/trauma/abuse against her and never will. Mikayla has been a dear friend of mine and I will always love her. I’m super sad and disappointed that because I’m not picking sides and choosing to love two people that are both hurting I am now the enemy. Go ahead and post our texts Mikayla, it’s about the same thing that I said here.”

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season five is coming soon.
