Dorit Kemsley and Erika Jayne may be on the verge of reconciling their friendship following their messy feud on the recently concluded 15th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
In a new interview, as she also reflected on her drama with Kyle Richards, 57, shared whether she and Amanda Frances, 41, have a future as friends, and opened up about navigating her friendship falling outs amid her split from Paul “PK” Kemsley, 58, Dorit confirmed that she and Erika, 54, have gotten to a better place with one another.
“We have sent some messages back and forth, really warm, supportive messages. I messaged her when the news of her trial came out, which I was really disturbed by. I messaged her and she wrote back to me straight away, echoing a very supportive message. And then when everything came out in the press, when PK had filed that court document, she reached out to me. So I’m hopeful,” Dorit said during a May 22 interview with Extra TV. “It’s an almost 10-year friendship and a very close one with a lot of love and a lot of care.”
Despite their season 15 tiff, Dorit suspected that the tension between herself and Erika was “something that we can both get over.”
Still, she was “really upset and hurt” that Erika didn’t show up to the cover reveal for her book.
“I was already going through so much, and when you’re in the thick of it, you really, you need support more than anything. And so when you’re not getting it from the people that are supposed to be closest to you, it’s heartbreaking,” she explained. “And when you are already emotionally exhausted, you’re not your best self.”
According to Dorit, the hardest part of her falling out with Erika stemmed from misunderstanding.
“You’re not reacting the way you would with clarity, with perspective, being grounded. I think that’s been the most difficult part of this chapter,” she stated. “Erika clearly had her own feelings. I think that the reunion, I was consumed with my own feelings that I don’t think I was able to hear her feelings as well as I probably should have, and that hurt me.”

Moving on to Kyle, Dorit said that after a “very long friendship,” the two of them had some “ups and downs.”
“And that makes things a little tricky when you’re really going through such a difficult time, and it’s public. I mean, it’s nothing that people aren’t aware of, especially your close friends,” she noted, suggesting that Kyle didn’t show up for her in that way.
“You would expect, if they are your close friends, that they would be there in support,” she shared. “[And] some of the challenges that we’ve had is her idea of support and my idea of support, and I think that’s where it gets complicated. But I also think when you’re in a friendship where you have to debate the word support, it just, it’s, you know, you don’t want to have to ask for support.”
After confirming that she had “not spoken to Kyle” recently, she said it would take two for them to make amends.
“I’m the type of person where there’s nothing you can’t get over if two people want to, and I’m always open to it. And I think if Kyle feels the same way, then there’s room,” she reasoned. “If she doesn’t, I’m not going to push my way to try and mend things if that’s not in her heart. I know she cares about me. I care about her. I care about her daughters immensely, and I do believe, truly, that Kyle and I will absolutely be able to have some type of relationship at some point.

During another moment of the interview, Dorit acknowledged that there’s been a lot of push and pull between her and Amanda, especially after Amanda expressed criticism over her handling of her split from PK.
“When I had approached her about what she had said, it dragged on because it was difficult for her just to say, in the moment, I shouldn’t have said that or I’m sorry I said that. And there was a lot of pushing it onto Kyle, and it became very difficult for her and I to kick off a friendship,” she explained. “When you’re going through a really difficult time and you have someone who doesn’t know you, doesn’t know PK, making bold statements … it just felt like that conversation couldn’t be had and resolved easily, and then it just dragged on, and then after that, you just have more and more animosity.”
Looking back on her first interactions with Amanda, Dorit recalled thinking she was “lovely and nice.” And, when it came to Amanda showing up to her book cover reveal, she said she was “very grateful” Amanda attended.
“It allowed me to see her in a different light, truly. So I don’t have any ill will towards Amanda. I wish her well. I wish her the best and it remains to be seen whether there’ll be a friendship there,” she concluded.
