Kyle Richards offered an update on her sister, Kim Richards, at LAX on Tuesday.
Nearly two years after the 57-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filed a lawsuit against Kim, 61, demanding she get out of her two-bedroom condo in Encino, California, and days after Kim was seen barefoot on a park bench, Kyle admitted that her older sibling, who has struggled with years of addiction, was doing “better.”
“She’s doing okay,” Kyle confirmed to TMZ on September 8, adding that Kim was “better than” she was amid their eviction drama.
“It was a long time ago,” she added about the case.
Then, when asked if the legal matter was sparked by tough love, Kyle revealed that Kim had a big family who loved her.
“Yes, of course. She has a big family that loves her very much,” she stated.
As RHOBH fans may have seen, Kim was spotted in Santa Monica at the end of last month looking a bit worse for wear as she painted a picture with just one shoe on her foot. However, TMZ insisted that all was well with Kim at the time and added that Kyle had helped her find a new home near the beach.

TMZ also revealed that Kim was on good terms with her four children, including Brooke Wiederhorn, Whitney Davis, Chad Davis, and Kimberly Jackson, and was spending plenty of time with them.
As for Kyle’s lawsuit against Kim, Kim never responded, and ultimately, a default judgment forced her to vacate the property.
While Kyle didn’t say much about the case, her longtime friend and former co-star, Teddi Mellencamp, 45, addressed the topic on her podcast earlier this year.
“The actual truth is, yes, they did say, ‘You need to get help if you want us to keep paying for you,’” Teddi revealed on an April episode of Two Ts in a Pod. “It’s a house that she bought for Kim. I think Kyle supports Kim financially.”
“It’s not even where she lives now. It’s not even the same location. … Kim is no longer in that house,” she added.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 16 is currently in production.
