Is Tyler Baltierra okay?
Weeks after opening up about a biopolar diagnosis, the Teen Mom OG star now has fans worried after he took to his Instagram page and shared an emotional post with his followers.
“It’s like my brain is so scattered that the moment I feel like I get what I’m after while climbing this ladder, this person in the mirror just smiles with laughter, then smacks me in the face, which starts to chase this envitable race to feeling broken, beaten, devalued, out of place, and now I’m all off pace,” he wrote. “It just leaves me shattered and every time I think about my life, my brain becomes battered with only one question…does my life really even matter?!”
After posting his message, a number of fans expressed their concern for Tyler.
“You sound so sad. Your poetry sounds like a cry for help. It wouldn’t be embarrassing if that’s what you were asking for. You are a good man with a great head on your shoulders,” wrote one fan.
“You’ll be just fine in time. I looked up to u for being so strong. Tyler knock it off ur start n to scare us dude,” someone else wrote.
He also received tons of support from his followers, who flooded his page with words of encouragement.
“Stay strong , hang in there,” one person wrote.
“Yes, your life matters to your wife and daughter and your father and mother and even myself. We care about you so dearly and that could never change. You are the greatest gift. Just keep your head up,” another said.
Others applauded Tyler and his wife, Catelynn Lowell, for setting such a great example for their fans and for being so open and honest about their mental health struggles.
“Sending love and positive thoughts to you,” someone said. “You and [Catelynn] are truly an inspiration. All that you’ve both been through and continue to go through your whole lives even before being parents, you are just amazing!! Both your daughters will grow into amazing humans to have parents like you.”
Tyler confirmed he was suffering from bipolar disorder during an episode of the Teen Mom OG reunion special last month but said he would not be medicating himself with prescription drugs. Instead, he said he hoped to take a holistic route to treating his illness.
