Kim Richards Update

Was Kim Richards offered the opportunity to return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills by Bravo?

In a new interview, Kim, who will be starring on the upcoming season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, reveals the answer is yes to that question, and that she actually turned down the chance to come back. She also added that while there are certain things about the show she doesn’t miss, she may ultimately return to stir things up with her former co-stars.

“I didn’t say that I wouldn’t [come back], I’m just saying I don’t miss the drama and arguing,” Kim said during an interview with PEOPLE. “But who’s to say that we couldn’t go on and stir up a little something. It does feel good to leave it at that. The season before, going on here and there a little bit was okay. Last year when they called, I was just like, ‘Yeah, no.’”

Although a return to the RHOBH could be in the future for Kim, she’s currently enjoying a more peaceful life with her family, including her 20-month-old grandson Hucksley. He is the son of Kim’s 32-year-old daughter Brooke.

“Right now, I’m really at a peaceful place in my life, being a mom and a grandmother,” Kim explained. “It’s just so amazing for me. I like not having the negativity, being at peace, waking up in the morning and going to watch my grandson or having him for a week. I’m super grateful for that.”

Kim may be loving her life at home a bit too much to expose herself to Bravo viewers at the moment but when it comes to the upcoming ninth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she wishes her co-stars and new addition Denise Richards well.

“I don’t know her, I’ve just seen her, but I felt like, ‘Okay, so I didn’t come back, so [bring on] another Richards.’ I think she’s beautiful and I wish them all the luck,” Kim said.

In the past, Kim’s sobriety has been a hot topic on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but when it comes to the future, she isn’t keen on the idea of showcasing that side of her life.

“I feel like I was so open about it and it just kind of — it really is not for anybody else but for me,” she said. “It’s just something I don’t discuss any longer. I’m happy in my life and I just feel like even when you go to meetings, it’s an anonymous program for a reason.”

Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars premieres on September 7 at 9 p.m. on WEtv.
