THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK CITY begin filming new season without Carole

The Real Housewives of New York City cast has begun filming on the show’s upcoming 11th season.

Less than two months after the exit of Carole Radziwill was confirmed, a report has revealed the rest of the show’s stars, including Bethenny Frankel, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, LuAnn de Lesseps, and Tinsley Mortimer, have returned to production.

On September 7, Radar Online told readers that everyone except Carole has signed on to appear on season 11 with rumored new cast member Barbara Kavovit joining the show in a “friend” role.

“She will be on as a friend since they’re testing her but she is not a full time housewife,” an insider explained.

Barbara previously appeared alongside Carole on an episode of The Real Housewives of New York City but attempted to sue the network for airing a conversation the two of them had that she believed would be kept off-camera.

While a report earlier this week suggested Barbara might be filling the empty space left by Carole, an online report from Naughty Gossip has suggested the idea was shot down after Bethenny allegedly demanded Bravo TV refrain from hiring someone to replace Carole.

“They have already started filming a new season of [The Real Housewives of New York City],” the outlet explained. “[Bethenny] has decided that they will NOT replace [Carole]. Bethenny is the Putin of Bravo.”

Rob also tweeted earlier this week that Carole is not helping matters when it comes to Bravo finding her replacement.

He wrote, “Real Housewives of New York are having troubling finding someone to replace the smart, cool, sophisticated open spot because @CaroleRadziwill is telling everyone NOT to join the show with @Bethenny.”

As for why the cast started production on the new season weeks before their normal start date, the ladies reportedly felt it would make for a better slew of episodes.

“They want to film in the warmer months in NY so they can do fashion week, etc and take longer vacations over the winter,” a Bravo fan page explained.
