The Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby is breaking her silence when it comes to the news of the shocking arrest of her husband Michael Darby over allegations he sexually assaulted a Bravo cameraman.
If you recall, news broke late this week that Michael, 59, allegedly grabbed and groped the butt of one of Bravo’s cameramen during the filming of an episode earlier this month. He was charged with felony assault and misdemeanor improper sexual contact.
Bravo then released a statement earlier stating that Michael has been suspended from the RHOP until further notice.
Ashley, 30, took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday afternoon and posted a very odd denial over the reported events.
“No charges filed. No arrests made. No Bravo suspension. No worries. We’ll keep you posted,” Ashley wrote over an image of her husband Michael. A screenshot of her post is below.
Ashley deleted her post shortly after and probably for good reason. See, there was an arrest, charges were filed, and Bravo released a statement confirming they had suspended Michael from any further filming for the fourth season of the RHOP. Below is part of Bravo’s statement, which they released late Friday.
“Bravo has comprehensive policies and guidelines relating to the safety of cast and crew which production companies are required to follow, in addition to their own protocols they have in place. We take all allegations seriously and then proceed accordingly with our producing partners. Bravo and Truly Original, the production company for ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac,’ have suspended filming with Michael Darby.”
Michael’s accuser, Orville Palmer, also alleges that Michael kicked him in his lower buttocks during a separate incident. He was able to obtain a temporary restraining order against Michael, although a judge denied a request to make the restraining order permanent after the temporary one expired on Thursday.
Ashley’s castmates are remaining mum for the moment, no doubt saving their reaction for the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Potomac. The new season is expected to return early next year.
