Former Real Housewives of New York City star Carole Radziwill is speaking out against her former castmates in light of the latest controversy involving TV host Megyn Kelly.
In a series of tweets, Carole slams Luann de Lesseps as “clueless” as she states the Bravo network should have disciplined her when it comes to Luann’s infamous Diana Ross costume from last season. She also takes a shot at the rest of the cast, describing them as ‘drunk and belligerent.’
For those who might not be aware, NBC host Megyn recently found herself in hot water, and reportedly out of a job, after she defended the use of black face (an historically very racist act) on her morning show Megyn Kelly TODAY. The connection to RHONY you ask? Well, Megyn just happened to cite Luann’s controversial Diana Ross costume from last year, which had Luann donning an afro and applying lots of bronzer to darken her skin, as a reason people should be able to don black face for Halloween.
This controversy prompted Carole to take to her Twitter page on Thursday evening to voice her disdain for Luann, the Bravo network and Megyn!
Carole wrote, “@megynkelly No one wore black face as a Halloween costume in past 75 years except clueless @CountessLuann. Megyn should have watched that #rhony episode I would have saved her some trouble. Can’t believe this is still something people need to be schooled on.”

Indeed, Carole voiced her disapproval to Luann during that episode of RHONY.
She didn’t end there as she then added that Bravo should have taken disciplinary action against Luann when it happened, while also throwing shade at her former RHONY castmates, by describing them as ‘drunk, belligerent, and crazy.’
Carole tweeted, “Perhaps @Bravotv should have considered taking some action against @CountessLuann however a reality show where women are often drunk, belligerent, and act crazy is not the same as a news anchor speaking with some sort of authority. Agree?”

Carole did however add that the Bravo network was not pleased with Luann’s costume.
“The costume was ridiculous and @Bravotv knew it and was very careful on how they handled it,” wrote Carole. “They immediately saw it as offensive and it was not in any promo shots…so I stand by what I originally said.”

As for Luann, she issued an apology after that RHONY episode aired earlier this year.
Carole announced her departure from the Real Housewives of New York City back in July.
