Vanderpump Rules Stassi Schroeder's Boyfriend Beau Clark Talks Awkward Moment with Stassi's Mom Dayna

Stassi Schroeder‘s boyfriend, Beau Clark, has endured a number of awkward moments on Vanderpump Rules this season, starting with the “d**k punch” his girlfriend dealt him at her 30th birthday party.

During a new interview, Beau opened up about the drama that unfolded between him and Stassi at her birthday and addressed the “awkward” encounters he’s had with Stassi’s mother, Dayna Schroeder.

“What you guys saw on TV was part of it, and then there was a lot more of just frustration and anger and sadness after the cameras were off,” Beau explained to The Daily Dish of the behind-the-scenes drama at Stassi’s celebration. “So that’s why we both look so ratchet on the balcony that next morning. We had a late night of drunken arguing, no one’s listening to each other, and it was frustrating.”

During the episode, Stassi was seen crying in her bathroom as she called and texted Beau, who had remained at the party after she left.

“It was sad, it was frustrating because everyone was still there, she wanted to go to bed, I didn’t know she went to bed,” Beau explained. “At this time, I’m still friends with everybody, but I’m not as close with them as I am now, but I’m like, ‘These are all your people. Don’t you want me to get closer with them?'”

The following morning, the couple met and made up.

“I felt bad, and she felt sad and remorseful, and we learned how to deal with it the next day,” Beau said. “But we were just trying to figure out how to deal with it in the moment. That’s the tough part.”

As for his interactions with Stassi’s mom, fans recently witnessed Dayna “playfully” grabbing Beau’s butt, which he was “totally fine” with.

“You know, it was awkward, but it wasn’t a big deal,” he explained.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t so amused by the things Dayna was saying about Stassi and her love life during their appearance at Kristen Doute‘s James Mae launch event and described the comments as “awkward and rough.” As fans will recall, Dayna told Stassi, in front of Beau, that she was “down here” and he’s “up there.”

“It just made me feel really sad for Stassi because from that I’m like, ‘Oh, well, maybe that’s why you feel so insecure about things because your mom puts you down,'” Beau recalled. “So, just stuff like that popped into my head. It’s just sad, and I feel bad for Stassi.”

That said, he didn’t feel comfortable enough with Dayna to defend his girlfriend’s honor at the time.

“I liked Dayna, and we met a handful of times, but it was still just like, I don’t know my place if I should be like, ‘Hey, are you f**king kidding me?’ Like, you don’t say that,” Beau said. “So I’m just thankful that Schwartz called my name, and I just left that environment.”

Although Beau said he’s had to make an effort to make sure that Stassi is feeling secure with their relationship and not struggling with any abandonment issues, he insisted he wasn’t freaked out by her needs.

“It’s just frustrating because I’m like, ‘I love you! I’m not leaving! Why the f**k are you thinking like this?'” he explained.

As for Dayna, she has since blamed “alcohol, immune disease medication and no food” for the way she acted during her time on the show.

Vanderpump Rules season seven airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
