Advertisers Boycott Teen Mom 2 as Jenelle Evans and David Eason Investigated By CPS Over Dog Killing

Jenelle Evans and David Eason are being investigated by Child Protection Services (CPS) in North Carolina as advertisers are boycotting Teen Mom 2 after David shot and killed a family dog.

Several advertisers have confirmed on Twitter that they have pulled their advertisements from airing during the show due to the death of Nugget, who was shot and killed by David after nipping at his 2-yr-old daughter, Ensley.

“We absolutely do not support any animal abuse or cruelty of any kind. We are devastated by the loss of Nugget and we can now confirm that as a result of this incident, our ads will no longer run during Teen Mom programming,” Greenies, a pet health company, tweeted on May 3.

“We in no way condone animal cruelty or the mistreatment of animals. We appreciate your feedback and wanted to share that we have stopped advertising on Teen Mom programming,” TWIX wrote.

“We in no way condone animal cruelty or the mistreatment of animals,” said Dove Chocolate. “We appreciate your feedback and wanted to share that we have stopped advertising on Teen Mom programming.”

After fans demanded Chipotle pull their ads and let MTV know that animal abuse should not be tolerated, the restaurant chain complied, as did another company called Persil ProClean.

In other Teen Mom 2 news, the Columbus County Department of Social Services received a phone call earlier this week about the Teen Mom 2 stars from a person who identified themselves as someone who is taking a stand against child abuse.

On May 4, The Blast shared details of the call, explaining that the caller believed the children living in Jenelle and David’s home, including the two-year-old daughter they share, Ensley, were in jeopardy of developing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, or another mental health illnesses after witnessing extremely erratic behavior, including David’s recent killing of their family dog, Nugget.

Following the call, CPS, who acts “in response to actual or suspected child neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, or exploitation,” notated the caller’s complaints and concerns and informed them they would do a follow-up.

According to The Blast, David brutally beat Nugget inside the home he and Jenelle share with their kids before taking the animal outside and shooting it. However, because David has instilled such fear in Jenelle and their children, no one in the home has shared the scary details with law enforcement. In fact, no one except for David has spoken to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Department also revealed that Jenelle’s ex, Nathan Griffith, who shares a four-year-old son, Kaiser, with the reality star, contacted their office days ago and demanded they do a wellness check on the child.

“The male caller referenced making sure his son was safe because his ex-fiancée’s husband shot a dog in front of him,” the public information officer told People.

In addition to receiving a visit from CPS, Jenelle and David were also visited by Animal Control after receiving numerous complaints about the murder of Nugget.

Teen Mom 2 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on MTV.
