In the latest episode of RHOP, we watched the 31-year-old reality star’s painful attempt to meet her father only to have a door literally slammed in her face. But have things changed at all since the sad encounter?
“That’s the most challenging thing I have done, like, ever, in a long time,” the 31-year-old admitted to Andy Cohen during Watch What Happens Live on Sunday night. “For my dad to look me in the eye and then just close the door in my face was so heartbreaking for me — 30 years culminated in five seconds, essentially.”
Andy then asked the Bravo star if she had any contact with her father since filming the episode.
“No, nothing,” Ashley said as she shook her head. Comedienne Sherri Shepherd, who was also a guest on the show, then suggested that maybe Ashley’s new baby would soften her father and give him a change of heart. “Well, he left me when I was a baby, so I don’t think he has a soft spot for babies,” the Bravo star responded.
While the Potomac housewife was candid as usual on the show, it wasn’t until the After Show that she really began to spill the tea. One caller boldly asked Ashley if she regretted calling Katie a “mail-order co-ch and Candiace [Dillard] a hampster face on Twitter” last month.
“Um, no ma’am, I do not. I just spoke the truth, okay?” Ashley answered with a smirk on her face. “[Katie’s] relationship history would show that she is a mail-order co-ch.”
Then, reading off a list of fan questions, Andy asked if Ashley thought therapy would help Candiace get along better with her mother, Dorothy. “Jesus is the only thing that can help Candiace and her mom,” the Bravo star quipped.
Finally, another caller from Utah asked Ashley how she felt about Katie’s claims that her husband, Michael Darby, told Katie’s then-boyfriend Jacob to call him on “his private phone.” Ashley denied that her husband ever made such a request.
