Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, along with sister Kathy Hilton, are reportedly “worried” about what Kim Richards plans to reveal in her upcoming book as it also appears there might be an issue with the release of Kim’s memoir.
In her new memoir, The Whole Truth: The Reality of it All, Kim promises a revealing tell-all, touching on her days as a childhood star, her years-long battle with alcoholism, and her bumpy relationship with sisters Kyle and Kathy.
Describing herself as “treated like a whipping post of a sister,” Kim said in a since-taken down statement by HarperCollins Publishers: “I’ve come to learn that holding on to secrets is like holding on to your breath.”
Two new reports are now claiming that Kim’s family, and even her former RHOBH costars, are nervous about what she could spill.
“Of course they’re worried she’ll spill too much; even nieces Paris and Nicky Hilton are nervous – as are the Real Housewives,” an insider revealed in the February 24 issue of Life & Style magazine. “Kim has held back for years, but there’s no stopping her now.”
A source also tells Star magazine the same in a recent issue, adding that Kim hopes this new book will bring her back into the media spotlight.
“Some people are worried she’d spill too much,” the source told Star, “especially her sisters Kyle and Kathy Hilton.”
“For years, Kim was the star of the family,” added the insider. “She’s finally going to be the star again. That’s what she’s hoping will happen when she released her tell-all.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has a troubled past she’ll undoubtedly cover, including a 2015 arrest for public intoxication and the 1991 murder of her fiancé by a hit man. What RHOBH fans will most likely be looking forward to is the gossip on her family troubles, considering the drama we witnessed on camera between her and Kyle.
Will the straight-forward memoir come between Kim and her sisters? Kyle recently told TooFab she “doesn’t know anything about the book” and that Kim never went over any details with her family before writing it. “We’re in a good place,” said Kyle, “let’s hope we stay there.”
Fans might have to wait quite a bit to get their hands on Kim’s new book as we notice the book page on the Harper Collins site, which originally had an April 28, 2020 release date, has been taken down. And the Amazon page for the book is now showing a February 2, 2021 release date. This has us curious if there is perhaps some possible legal drama behind these changes.
