Teddi Mellencamp Addresses Text Message Drama With RHOBH Costars and Reveals if She's On Good Terms With Them, Shares Her Thoughts on Upcoming Dinner Party Debacle

Teddi Mellencamp caused a stir on Wednesday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and during a Q&A session on her Instagram Stories after the show aired, she addressed the drama surrounding the group invitation she sent to her castmates for her accountability event.

Before dishing on the “mind game” of the Bravo series, teasing her dinner party drama on next week’s episode, and sharing her thoughts on the Real Housewives of New York City cast, Teddi, who was pregnant during filming, explained the motivation behind her text.

“I really did think I was doing them a favor by saying, ‘If it’s not your cup of tea, don’t come.’ But damn I pissed off a lot of people,” Teddi admitted.

During the show, the cast was seen receiving a lengthy text from Teddi in which she invited each of her co-stars but also said her feelings wouldn’t be hurt if they didn’t come. Right away, a number of cast members, including Lisa Rinna, suggested Teddi’s feelings would absolutely be hurt if they didn’t come and claimed Teddi would likely make the cast “pay” if they were absent.

“You live and you learn, or you don’t… I’d probably do the same thing all over again,” Teddi continued.

Teddi also took to Twitter to address the issue as she stated that her main regret is not finishing the text with, “If you do come, please don’t be an a**hole.”

“Here’s the thing: this retreat was about my business which has been mocked endlessly. I’m saying I do not care if the women come because I would rather they don’t if they’re not interested in seriously partaking. End of story (but with this group it never is🤦🏼‍♀️),” she tweeted.

When a fan asked Teddi why there was so much drama surrounding her invite, Teddi noted that she is a “type-A control freak” and confessed to making things “very complicated.” She also denied that her claim about not caring if her RHOBH co-stars attended was a “defense mechanism.”

Teddi Mellencamp Reacts to RHOBH Text Message Drama

Despite her initial drama with the cast during season 10, Teddi confirmed she is on good terms with “most” of her co-stars.

“[I’m on good terms] with most of them, which is why it makes watching these episodes back a total mind game,” she explained. “[You’re forced to] relive these emotions you felt in the moment that you think you may have moved on from but then you see confessionals and you see a different side of things. It’s a whole big mess.”

Looking forward to next week’s episode, which will feature Teddi in tears during a dinner party at Kyle Richards‘ home, after Sutton Stracke shaded her as being “boring,” Teddi admitted to frequently forgetting that cameras are around before revealing she’s a bit nervous to watch her meltdown play out.

“Watching the scene for next week made me sad all over again because you’re like reliving it over and over,” she explained. “I remember how brutal it was but like, I don’t know how it’s going to [play out].”

Teddi then addressed the ongoing drama surrounding the alleged romance that took place between Denise Richards and Brandi Glanville in 2019, agreeing with a fan that the nature of their relationship is no one’s business.

“It isn’t [anyone’s business], which is why you should keep watching. Because the issue has nothing to do with that,” she teased.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
