The former Real Housewives of Orange County star responded to a fan in the comments section of her Instagram post who claimed she must be receiving some “serious child support” from Jim by saying that actually wasn’t true. “Girl I have a career thank you very much! That child support is not buying me gold and baubles – it barely pays for groceries for my tribe!” she exclaimed.
Jim, however, begs to differ, with his rep Steve Honig firing back at the claim by pointing out to Page Six how much Jim really provides.
“We’re not going to give numbers because it’s no one’s business,” the rep said, “but if what Jim is giving to Meghan each month for child support doesn’t cover her groceries, she must be getting her eggs from Fabergé.”
“Jim also pays every single bill for both of her homes, all the medical bills and practically every other expense related to the kids and the houses,” the rep continued. “Jim continually goes above and beyond what he is required to do. Meghan’s comments are an insult to all the single mothers who are genuinely struggling financially and working multiple jobs to make ends meet.”
The topic of child support and custody between the two exes has always been a messy one, considering their endless drama since filing for divorce that’s inevitably involved the children. Meghan also recently took the children to be with her in California during the pandemic — a move Jim initially stated was a custody violation while her rep claimed, “there was no violation whatsoever.”
“Someone also needs to tell Meghan that child support is not for gold and baubles,” Jim’s rep concluded.
Even amid their fallout, Jim has been happily quarantined with new girlfriend Kortnie O’ Connor, and Meghan has been making TikToks in her spare time — most of them assumed to be throwing shade at her ex.
