After being called out by Lisa Vanderpump on Tuesday’s Vanderpump Rules finale for defending Jax after he showed up to her photoshoot for The Hollywood Reporter wearing a navy button-down as the rest of the cast wore SUR Restaurant uniforms, Brittany explained why she will always defend her husband, even if he is wrong.
“I’m always going to defend my husband, no matter what. I’m always going to be on his side,” Brittany explained to her producers on the Pump Rules After Show. “I’m always going to defend Jax. Whenever he’s wrong, I make sure that I know he’s wrong and he knows that I know he’s wrong but he’s my husband. He’s always going to come first no matter what.”
During Tuesday’s show, Jax, who has been spiraling for weeks on the series, caused a stir when he arrived at Lisa’s shoot in the wrong color and proceeded to act as if he shouldn’t have to wear what Lisa requested. He even said Vanderpump Rules was “my show,” which Lisa quickly shot down.
Although Brittany made it clear on the After Show that she will always defend her man, she also said she did her best to calm him down during his dispute with Lisa at SUR.
“I was trying to help Lisa and trying to help him get a new shirt and trying to be like, ‘Have respect for Lisa.’ But at the end of the day, family first. He’s my family,” she shared.
In her own Pump Rules: After Show segment, Lisa spoke to producers about Jax’s behavior at her shoot. She noted that while he should have put on the correct T-shirt, as she and her staff had plenty of extras laying around, he didn’t do so because he wanted to look different than everyone else.
“I didn’t own one at that time,” claimed Jax about why he couldn’t wear the SUR shirt.
“Don’t give me the bulls**t excuses. There were plenty of SUR T-shirts, so you show up in something navy blue with everybody else wearing black,” Lisa fired back.
“Jax Taylor wants to make my life more complicated because he doesn’t want to conform,” Lisa explained.
“I have to stand out,” Jax agreed as he sat beside her. “I believe I’ve got a little seniority. I should be able to stand out a little bit. A little bit.”
“See? That’s what it’s about,” Lisa replied.
