Has Shep Rose finally settled down for good?

The Southern Charm star recently dished on why he was willing to commit to his “fantastic” girlfriendTaylor Ann Green, whom he began dating earlier this year, and also shared if he’s ready to get married.

“Things are going well, and she’s fantastic,” Shep told Us Weekly while dishing on Southern Charm season 7. “I kinda jokingly said, like, she refuses to give me a reason to not be in love with her, honestly. Like, I can find a reason to, like, weasel my way out of, like, any — oh, not weasel, but you know what I mean?”

Shep admitted that he “usually [finds] a reason” to let go of a romance, but Taylor proved to be a different kind of situation.

“[I usually say], ‘Oh, well, you know, then there’s that.’ And then, you know, sort of, like, the three-month itch, I guess you would call it,” he explained. “And, like, day after day, month after month, she was just fantastic. It just makes it really easy when, when you’re, like, wait a second, why would I ever not want this person in my life? That doesn’t make any sense at all. So it’s definitely a departure from my norm.”

The 40-year-old, who has shown in the past how hesitant he is to settle down, felt something different with the 26-year-old dental assistant, which ultimately put him at ease moving forward.

“I was definitely nervous about, you know, domestic bliss. Even though my parents had been married for 45 years and both my brother and sister were married,” he stated. “So, I don’t have, like, you know, a lot of examples of things not working, but for some reason I worry about that and wring my hands about that.”

In addition to their personalities being a great match, Shep noted that Taylor also gets along so well with his group of friends, blending perfectly with the group as they filmed for season 7 of the show.

“She’s become better friends with my friends than I am,” the TV star revealed. “And I’m, like, sort of pissed about that. I mean my dog, little Craig, loves her I think more than me. I mean, Craig [Conover] and Austen [Kroll], I think like her more than me. She’s taken over.”

Shep’s pals have also had nothing but great things to say about Taylor, with Craig recently revealing that Shep seemed to be “a better version of himself” with her. Austen also dished on the couple, saying he was a “fan” of Taylor “keeping Shep honest.”

Although the couple is in a great place at the moment, Shep still isn’t in any rush to walk down the aisle, noting that Taylor herself isn’t pushing him to make a marriage move just yet.

“She doesn’t want to, to her credit,” he remarked. “I mean, part of the reason is [she’s] younger than me. The clock isn’t exactly ticking for her, which is, you know, I don’t know. it’s very relaxed on that front.”

Southern Charm season 7 airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
