It seems all of Sutton Stracke‘s hard work has paid off as she is officially a diamond-holder!
Fans were bewildered last season when Sutton was demoted to a “friend” once the show aired, which also reportedly surprised her as well. But, according to a source who has seen the highly anticipated Real Housewives of Beverly Hills trailer, “she won’t be a friend” in season 11.
Sutton has explained before that she believed she was “a friend of” last season because her ex-husband, Christian Stracke, wouldn’t allow her to film with their kids. It’s unclear if Christian signed off this time around, but either way, producers felt she played an important enough role to promote her.
It’s no secret that Erika Jayne‘s storyline will likely be the focal point of the season as she navigates her divorce from her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, and their mounting legal issues. Andy Cohen has even stated that Erika is “talking,” which really surprised fans because she’s not exactly known for her candidness. It’s also been reported by Hollywood Life that the majority of Erika’s co-stars had her back amid her headline-making troubles, but the same cannot be said about Sutton, which is likely why producers gave her a diamond.
The Dolce & Gabbana enthusiast apparently had a lot of questions for the “Pretty Mess” singer. Erika reportedly claimed to be blindsided by her split from Thomas, but Sutton simply isn’t buying it and viewers will get to see her take Erika to task.
“You’ll see Erika crying and getting very emotional, definitely,” a source previously revealed. “Everyone but Sutton has been supporting her, but Sutton has been causing drama for everyone, so it’s not surprising she’s doing the same to Erika.”
Sutton is likely ecstatic about her full-time role because she’s admitted in the past that she was gunning for that diamond.
“The diamond is very heavy to hold, but I would love to [be] a diamond carrying member, for sure,” she told Us Weekly.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11 is expected to premiere sometime in late spring or early summer.
