Jennifer Aydin Has a $1.8 Million Mortgage on Her Home Despite Claiming to Have Paid Cash For Jersey Mansion as RHONJ Star's Rep Speaks Out

It seems Jennifer Aydin is a bit confused when it comes to loans and mortgages.

During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, a fan asked the Real Housewives of New Jersey star to respond to a shady comment Jackie Goldschneider made on the show. If fans recall, Jackie was seen telling her mom that Jennifer and Bill Aydin‘s mansion in Paramus, New Jersey, is “like the Taj Mahal but with a high mortgage and no furniture.” However, Jennifer went on to flat out deny that she and her plastic surgeon husband had to take out a mortgage to purchase the 12,000-square-foot estate.

“I found it interesting because I don’t have a mortgage,” Jennifer said while host Andy Cohen covered his face with his cue cards as he was clearly taken aback by the messy question. “I paid for this property cash, and we built it halfway. We paid with bank checks, and the rest was a construction loan to finish the build. So, I actually don’t have a mortgage. Check that, attorney!”

Unfortunately for Jennifer, she was seemingly dead wrong according to documents obtained by Page Six. The documents — which are reportedly clearly labeled as a “mortgage” —  allegedly show that the couple took out the loan in 2014. They still owe $1.875 million plus interest, which must be paid in full by 2044.

The construction loan Jennifer spoke about, which was paid in “installments as the work progressed,” is mentioned in the documents, though. But, once the work was completed, they were expected to pay back the outstanding balance with interest every month.

Jennifer’s rep did confirm that she and Bill still owe money on the mansion, but they explained it was through a construction loan. Apparently, according to a source close to Jennifer, she didn’t realize that the loan is considered a mortgage.

This isn’t the only time her nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom home has been a topic of discussion. In fact, just last month, Andy threw shade at the estate as he was discussing his favorite homes within the Housewives franchise during a podcast appearance.

“Jennifer Aydin’s kind of fiberglass castle looks to be very expansive, but then you see it’s on quite a narrow lot,” he said during an episode of B*tch Sesh.

He added, “It’s huge, but then you look at the thing and it’s like, ‘Oh wait, are they sharing a driveway with someone?’”

Andy also said he has heard the house is very close to the highway.
